Most Venerable Thich Tinh Triet, Head of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Dong Thap province, spoke at the donation ceremony for the people of Central Vietnam.

At the reception, Venerable Thich Tinh Triet, Head of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Dong Thap province, said that in recent days, the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in the province has organized many delegations to directly share and give gifts to people in the Central provinces affected by floods, with a total cost of over 10 billion VND. Venerable Thich Tinh Triet hopes that this support will help people in the Central provinces to soon stabilize their lives and restore their livelihoods after natural disasters.

Most Venerable Thich Tinh Triet, Head of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Dong Thap province, presented a symbolic plaque of 100 million VND.

Comrade Phan Van Thang, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, respectfully expressed his gratitude to the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Dong Thap Province, monks, nuns and Buddhists. This support is very meaningful, demonstrating the spirit of solidarity and sharing, contributing to helping people affected by the damage to soon stabilize their lives after the rain and flood.

As of 2:00 p.m. on December 1, the Provincial Relief Mobilization Committee had received donations from 480 individuals and organizations to support people in the Central region (second launch) with a total of over 1.3 billion VND.
