Besides traditional markets, flower and fruit stalls along major roads are also bustling with activity. Hai, a fruit vendor on Le Loi Street, said that fruit sales on the morning of the 29th of Tet increased compared to the 28th, but were still not as high as in previous years.

Flowers, fruits for Tet decorations, and fresh food continued to be in high demand. In particular, fruits such as custard apples, coconuts, papayas, mangoes, and figs were constantly being stocked by vendors to meet customer needs.

Most of these fruits have stable prices. Specifically, custard apples cost from 20,000 to 30,000 VND/fruit; coconuts range from 15,000 to 25,000 VND/fruit, papayas from 15,000 to 20,000 VND/fruit; mangoes cost from 20,000 to 30,000 VND/fruit...

Mr. Nguyen Van Tai, a food vendor at Hoa Long market, said that food items sold very well on the 29th day of the Lunar New Year.

"Today I sold goods until around 11-12 noon, and the number of customers increased 3-4 times compared to the previous two days. In addition, the prices of essential food items remained stable, ensuring good service to meet consumer needs during the Tet holiday," Mr. Tai added.

Flowers and fruits are in high demand on the 29th day of the Lunar New Year.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Huyen Tran (Hamlet 4, Hoa Long Commune), who also came to Hoa Long Market to buy fruit on the morning of the 29th of Tet, shared: “As is customary every year, my family displays a five-fruit platter on the altar. During Tet, I usually choose to buy fruits such as custard apple, coconut, papaya, mango, and fig… This year, I find that the market on the 29th of Tet has a full range of essential products to meet consumer needs, and the prices are also reasonable.”
