Ensure customs clearance during peak season at the end of the year

In the last months of the year, production and import-export activities of enterprises in the province entered the peak period. Along with the recovery of the industrial sector, the demand for customs clearance of goods increased sharply, requiring the assurance of delivery progress, maintaining the supply chain and meeting the production and business plans of enterprises.

Early in the morning of a weekday, although the customs clearance area at Thai Nguyen Customs Team (Customs Sub-Department of Region V) was quite deserted, the number of documents had increased by about 20% compared to before. On average, the unit received 800-1,000 declarations per day. All transactions were carried out electronically, requiring officers on duty to continuously process, ensuring fast and accurate customs clearance so that goods could be circulated in the shortest time.

In line with the year-end production rhythm, businesses in the province are speeding up the execution of orders. At KH Vatec Thai Nguyen Co., Ltd. (an electronic components manufacturing enterprise), the production pace is at its highest level. With a stable consumer market, the enterprise expects revenue in 2025 to reach over 170 million USD, an increase of about 15% over the same period, creating stable jobs for about 1,000 workers.

Mr. Hong Sung Pyo, Deputy Director of KH Vatec Thai Nguyen Co., Ltd., said: Customs procedures are currently processed very quickly, helping us ensure the progress of all year-end orders, significantly saving logistics costs.

At Dongwha Vietnam Joint Stock Company, a manufacturer of wooden boards and interior products, there are more than 60 import and export declarations each month. Applying electronic procedures helps businesses shorten the time to prepare documents and be more proactive in delivering and receiving goods. In 2025, the business is expected to grow by over 10%, with revenue reaching more than 80 million USD, creating jobs for more than 250 workers with an average income of 10-15 million VND/month.

Mr. Kim Yangil, General Director of Dongwha Vietnam Joint Stock Company, shared: Before applying online, documents had to be printed and submitted directly in large quantities, which was very time-consuming. Now, electronic procedures are streamlined, processed quickly and transparently.

Domestic enterprises are also “sprinting”. At the Vo Nhai Garment Branch (TNG Investment and Trading Joint Stock Company), more than 1,800 workers are speeding up production to deliver goods to international partners on time. In the last two months of the year, the branch is expected to reach over 110 billion VND in revenue.

Mr. Hoang Dinh Hao, Director of Vo Nhai Garment Branch, said: In 2025, the unit expects to grow 20% over the same period. At present, orders are full until the end of the year. Smooth customs clearance helps stabilize delivery activities, reducing progress pressure for businesses.

By 2025, there will be 688 enterprises carrying out customs procedures in the province.

Faced with increasing pressure of documents, Thai Nguyen Customs Team increased on-duty and arranged for officers to work overtime to ensure continuous processing.

Mr. Nguyen Hai Son, Deputy Head of Thai Nguyen Customs Team, emphasized: We work according to the motto of "when work is done, never when time is up." The unit promotes the application of technology to ensure fast, safe and transparent customs clearance, meeting the production and export requirements of enterprises.

The increased volume of goods and documents in the last months of the year continues to place high demands on the processing of import and export procedures. The proactiveness of the authorities and the efforts of enterprises to accelerate production are contributing to stabilizing the flow of goods, promoting export growth and creating momentum for Thai Nguyen's economy to accelerate in the final stages of the year.
