Voluntary social insurance, unemployment insurance and health insurance revenues all increased compared to the same period, demonstrating the industry's efforts to stick to targets and expand coverage. However, along with the revenue results, the pressure of outstanding debts continues to be high. The total social insurance, health insurance and unemployment insurance debt in the province as of the end of November was VND 1,017.3 billion, equivalent to 3.87% of the receivables; compulsory social insurance debt alone accounted for VND 726.9 billion. The amount of late payment interest must be calculated up to VND 428.9 billion. This is a factor that directly affects the progress of completing the revenue target and the rights of workers.
Last month, the provincial Social Insurance also increased surprise inspections of units with signs of violations, requested to collect arrears from 6 cases of unpaid or untimely payments and recovered illegal benefits. However, the long-standing debt, especially in the group of struggling enterprises, continues to require more drastic measures from now until the end of the year.
