At the booth: “Disseminating, advising, and answering questions about social insurance and health insurance policies,” social insurance officials and the Post Office's collection service organization in the Yen Bai - Tran Yen area directly introduced the new points of the amended Social Insurance Law and Health Insurance Law of 2024, effective from July 1, 2025; regulations on social insurance contributions for individual business owners; and disseminated information on preventing and handling acts of impersonating social insurance officials and using social media to defraud people…
At the same time, there should be extensive and in-depth communication about the meaning, role, benefits, and humanitarian aspects of voluntary social insurance policies; the value of receiving a monthly pension to ensure a stable life and being granted a free health insurance card throughout the pension period for healthcare; legal regulations on eligible participants, contribution levels, and payment methods; and the level of financial support from the state and local budgets for participating in voluntary social insurance...

In addition, Social Insurance officials and Post Office collection service organizations guided small business owners and citizens to install the VssID - Social Insurance digital application; and encouraged beneficiaries to receive pensions and social insurance benefits through cashless payment methods. Citizens were also provided with leaflets, brochures, and infographics about voluntary social insurance and family health insurance; and QR codes leading to the electronic portal and social media accounts of the Vietnam Social Insurance and the Lao Cai Provincial Social Insurance.
In addition to activities at the booth, in the afternoon of the same day, the Provincial Social Insurance agency, in coordination with the Au Lau Ward People's Committee, organized a small-scale outreach campaign in 8 villages and residential areas. The outreach teams, consisting of Social Insurance officials, postal workers, and influential local figures, visited individual households and businesses to advise and encourage people to participate in voluntary social insurance and self-paid health insurance – policies that provide long-term social security and ensure a stable life for workers in old age or in the event of unforeseen circumstances.
Through the "Social Insurance Booth" and "Small Group Communication" models, the "Communicator's Day" is expected to contribute to innovating communication methods, bringing social security policies closer to the people, especially self-employed workers - a group with great potential for expanding the number of participants in social insurance and health insurance throughout the province.
