Nhan Dan Newspaper will print 5,000 more copies of panorama supplement as gifts for readers.

Of these, 1,000 copies will be sent to residents and soldiers on Truong Sa archipelago. The editorial office will give away the remaining 4,000 copies to readers at Nhan Dan Newspaper headquarters (71 Hang Trong, Hoan Kiem, Hanoi ) during the weekend of May 11-12 when readers visit the interactive panorama exhibition "Dien Bien Phu Campaign" in the editorial office premises.

Previously, Nhan Dan Newspaper published a special issue on May 7. The issue was expanded with 8 pages of special information, including 4 pages summarizing the progress of the 56 days and nights of the campaign and 4 pages printing the entire panorama of the " Dien Bien Phu Campaign".

Readers can cut and combine four printed pages into a 3.21m-long panorama and interact with the painting through augmented reality (AR) technology or QR code scanning. This technology allows users to view a dynamic panorama in physical space.

Immediately after its release, the printed newspaper stands were “sold out” from the morning of May 7. Many young generation Z people tried every way to “hunt” for the special newspaper.

After a young reader named Tram Anh posted a clip of her AR experience with the People's newspaper, issue 7/5, on social network Tiktok, Tram Anh received a lot of positive feedback.

Many readers from near and far have contacted Nhan Dan Newspaper to own this special publication. In response to readers' expectations, on May 10, Nhan Dan Newspaper decided to issue an additional 5,000 copies of the special supplement.

Interactive panorama exhibition celebrating the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory at Nhan Dan Dan Newspaper headquarters - 71 Hang Trong, Hanoi, open to the public from 9am to 5pm from May 7 to May 12, 2024.

The panorama supplement giveaway program will start at 9:30 a.m. on May 11-12.
