The center of the tropical depression is at 14.6 degrees North latitude - 111.3 degrees East longitude, in the Northwest sea of ​​the central East Sea. The strongest wind is level 7, gusting to level 9 and the tropical depression is barely moving.

The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting said that in the next 12 to 24 hours, the tropical depression may move to the South-Southwest and then Southwest at a speed of about 5-10km/hour. By the afternoon of December 2, the tropical depression will be over the Gia Lai - Dak Lak sea and weaken into a low pressure area (below level 6).

The 6th cold air mass is about to strengthen in our country.

The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting informed that on December 1, a cold air mass in the North is moving to the South.

Accordingly, from the morning of December 3, cold air will affect the following regions: Northeast, North Central and some places in the Northwest, then spread to the remaining areas of the Northwest and some places in the Central Central. On land, there will be strong Northeast winds of level 3, coastal areas of level 4-5.

According to experts from the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, from the night of December 3, the North and North Central regions will return to cold weather, with some mountainous areas experiencing severe cold. This is the 6th cold spell since the beginning of the winter of 2025-2026.

The meteorological agency also said that the fifth cold wave is weakening, so many places will have sunshine, warm weather during the day, foggy early mornings, and little rain. From the day and night of December 3, the sixth cold wave will enter our country, the temperature in the North and North Central regions will drop to 15-18 degrees Celsius, in the mountainous areas of the North 13-15 degrees Celsius, and in the high mountains below 11 degrees Celsius.

The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting warns that due to the strengthening of cold air combined with the weakening of low-pressure circulation from storm No. 15 and disturbances of easterly winds in the upper atmosphere, from the night of December 2 to 5, the area from Quang Tri to Da Nang , the eastern part of the provinces from Quang Ngai to Dak Lak and Khanh Hoa will have widespread moderate to heavy rain.
