This evening (January 14th), the national journalism awards ceremony "For the Cause of Vietnamese Education " 2025 took place at the Au Co Theater (Hanoi).
According to the organizers, this year the award attracted more than 800 entries in four types of journalism: print, electronic, radio and television.
Not only central press agencies but also many local press agencies, from mountainous and island regions to remote areas, submitted entries to the competition.

Mr. Nguyen Duc Loi, Standing Vice President of the Vietnam Journalists Association , Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee of the award, and Chairman of the Final Judging Panel, said: "2025 marks the 8th anniversary of the launch and maintenance of the National Journalism Award 'For the Cause of Vietnamese Education,' becoming a beautiful symbol of the connection between journalism and education, a place to honor humanistic values, and spread faith and aspirations for innovation throughout society."
Commenting on the quality of this year's entries, Mr. Trieu Ngoc Lam, Editor-in-Chief of the Education and Times Newspaper and Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Organizing Committee, noted that the team of education journalists has shown remarkable maturity. This is evident in their choice of topics, data processing, and modern, multimedia presentation methods.
"Many series of articles have reflected topical issues in the industry, accompanying the industry in encouraging innovation, demonstrating the determination to build a humane, open, and integrated education system where each learner develops their abilities and qualities in accordance with the spirit of lifelong learning and learning to be a good person," Mr. Trieu Ngoc Lam emphasized.
The judging panel noted that this year's entries were diverse in subject matter, profound in content, and modern in form. Major issues facing the education sector, such as the implementation of the 2025 Teacher Law; the review of the 2018 General Education Program; the development of digital education and artificial intelligence in teaching and learning; happy schools; and exemplary teachers dedicated to their students, were reflected in depth.
From 82 shortlisted entries, the judging panel of the 2025 National Journalism Award "For the Cause of Vietnamese Education" selected the best works to award 4 first prizes, 8 second prizes, 12 third prizes, 36 consolation prizes, and 2 exemplary individuals featured in 2 winning works.

Among the entries, the work "Making Vietnam an International Education Destination," comprising three articles by authors My Quyen and Ngoc Long from Thanh Nien Newspaper, won third prize. The series not only reflects the current state of Vietnamese higher education but also suggests strategic directions to leverage policy opportunities and potential, aiming to attract international students and scientists to study and conduct research.
The four winning series, each belonging to a different category, included:
Printed newspaper: The Way of Teaching ( Vietnam Law Newspaper);
Online newspaper: Resolution 71 - The Party's breakthrough policy: To enable Vietnamese education to stand shoulder to shoulder with the world's leading nations ( VietnamPlus online newspaper);
Broadcast: Vietnam's Strength - Vietnam's Aspiration (VOV2, Voice of Vietnam Radio );
Television: Paving the Way (Special Programs - Science and Education Department, Vietnam Television ).
