Preserving the heritage of Quan Ho folk songs of Bac Ninh in conjunction with digital transformation and tourism development.

BAC NINH - Kinh Bac Ward has just issued a plan to organize activities to preserve and promote the value of Bac Ninh Quan Ho folk songs, aiming to further concretize its commitment to UNESCO in the new context.

One of the key highlights is the promotion of digital technology in the conservation and promotion of heritage. This includes focusing on researching and building a digital database system for Quan Ho folk songs, digitizing lyrics, ancient melodies, traditional music, and lists of artisans on a digital platform to serve storage, management, research, and teaching purposes, while also contributing to the promotion of heritage in conjunction with tourism development. Digital technology is also applied to enhance the visitor experience at historical sites and connect with the national database on cultural heritage.

In parallel, the ward will develop a tourism website and social media platforms such as Facebook and TikTok, with many features such as searching for information on historical sites and festivals, viewing locations and directions on maps, 360-degree tours of historical sites; and recording and filming folk artists performing ancient Quan Ho folk songs.

The ward also encourages its members and young people to participate in preserving and promoting the heritage through modern media forms such as videos and clips on social media; telling local cultural stories through the creative perspective of young people, contributing to the strong dissemination of the value of Quan Ho folk music heritage.
