Tuyen Quang Newspaper, Radio and Television won second prize in the National Press Award for the cause of Vietnamese education in 2025.

On the evening of November 14, the Ministry of Education and Training coordinated with the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Vietnam Journalists Association to organize the National Press Awards Ceremony for the Cause of Vietnam Education 2025. The program was broadcast live on VTV2; Tuyen Quang Newspaper and Radio and Television rebroadcast on the Fanpage of Tuyen Quang Online Newspaper, Tuyen Quang TTV and social networking platforms.

Attending the ceremony were comrades: Nguyen Kim Son, member of the Party Central Committee, Minister of Education and Training; Le Hai Binh, alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Permanent Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism ; Phan Xuan Thuy, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Education Commission; Nguyen Thi Mai Hoa, Deputy Head of the National Assembly's Committee for Culture and Social Affairs; representatives of ministries, departments, branches, localities, and press agencies.

In the 2025 season, the Organizing Committee received more than 800 entries from 4 categories: Print, Electronic, Radio and Television. The entries were published and broadcast on mass media from September 5, 2024 to September 5, 2025.

As a result, 82 works were selected for the final round. From these works, the Final Round Council awarded 4 First Prizes; 8 Second Prizes; 12 Third Prizes, 36 Encouragement Prizes and 2 outstanding characters in the 2 winning works.

Tuyen Quang Newspaper, Radio and Television won second prize with the 4-part series "Crossing the sky, seeking knowledge" by the group of authors Chuc Ngoc Huyen, Bien Thi Luan, Hoang Thi Niem, Tran Thi Thu Phuong and Nguyen Thi Luyen.

The series of articles "Crossing the sky, seeking knowledge" not only reflects on physical difficulties or rugged terrain, but also the journey of overcoming bad customs, language barriers, and illiteracy to aspire to find letters and a brighter future for students in the highlands.

The work reflects in a multi-dimensional way the hardships and deprivations along with the extraordinary efforts and creative ways of the Party Committee, government, teachers, and the students themselves.

Speaking at the Award Ceremony, Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son affirmed that the National Press Award for Vietnam Education 2025 is an annual activity of profound significance, affirming the accompanying role of the press in policy communication activities, spreading the good values ​​of the education sector in the period of innovation, facing great opportunities and expectations of the country.

The event is an opportunity to honor and recognize the contributions of quality journalistic works that objectively and diversely reflect the field of education and training; at the same time, it is an important highlight in the series of events celebrating Vietnamese Teachers' Day.

2025 is the eighth year that the National Press Award for the Cause of Vietnamese Education has been assigned by the Ministry of Education and Training to the Education and Times Newspaper as the host, in coordination with the Central Propaganda and Education Commission, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and the Vietnam Journalists Association.
