Arresting a wanted suspect for fraud and misappropriation of property.

On February 7th, the Hon Dat Commune Police announced that they had coordinated with the Criminal Investigation Agency of the An Giang Provincial Police to apprehend Son Truong, born in 1995 (residing in Chom Sao Hamlet, Hon Dat Commune), a wanted suspect on charges of fraud and appropriation of property.

The wanted person is Son Truong.

Previously, from December 1, 2023 to January 10, 2024, Son Truong and his accomplices entered into contracts to sell rice covering an area of ​​660 acres, receiving deposits from four victims and embezzling a total of 310 million VND. Son Truong received 40 million VND from this fraudulent activity.

Upon verification, the Provincial Police Investigation Agency initiated a criminal case and indicted the suspects; however, Son Truong has fled from his place of residence.

On January 22, 2026, the Investigation Police Department of An Giang province issued a wanted notice for suspect Son Truong on charges of fraud and appropriation of property.

Through intelligence gathering, the Hon Dat commune police, in coordination with the Provincial Police Investigation force, discovered and apprehended Son Truong, who was hiding in Hon Dat commune.
