On the morning of September 18, Haravan Technology Joint Stock Company coordinated with Meta - the parent company of Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, WhatsApp and Threads - to organize the event "Win Mega Sales: Accelerate profits - Skyrocket customers".

Mr. Erik Gan, Meta's Strategic Partnership Manager in the Asia- Pacific region, said that there are currently more than 3.4 billion people in the world using at least one Meta application every day.

Of which, 50% of Instagram users' time is spent on short videos (Reels), Threads recorded 350 million monthly active users. Every day, there are about 600 million conversations between businesses and customers on Instagram, Messenger and WhatsApp.

Notably, 83% of users use Meta platforms to follow content creators, and 58% of shoppers say Meta influences their purchasing decisions.

During peak shopping seasons alone, 79% of customers who found a product on Meta purchased it.

In Vietnam, 66% of millennials and Gen Z holiday and sale shoppers said that direct messaging with businesses made them feel more connected and closer to the brand, an increase of 8% compared to 2023.

According to Mr. Erik Gan, Meta is deploying many sales support tools, notably the AI-based conversational business solution, Facebook Live support tools, and product discovery features on Messenger. Businesses and sellers can refer to them to boost their sales.

Mr. Le Minh Hai, Director of Social Commerce Solutions at Haravan, said the biggest challenges for online sellers during peak season are slow response, overloaded staff and ineffective advertising spending.

Statistics show that 73% of customers abandon orders due to slow response; 67% will not return if the experience is negative; the risk of leaving the website is 5 times higher if they have to wait more than 5 minutes. To overcome this, Haravan recommends applying AI in customer care.

"Chatbots help with product consultation, order processing, information lookup and support thousands of simultaneous conversations with customers, especially during the peak season at the end of the year. This will help businesses increase their ability to close deals, user experience as well as expand quickly and sustainably," Mr. Hai emphasized.
