Immediately afterwards, the police verified and determined that the money belonged to Mr. Nguyen Hong Thai (born in 1986) from Nui Tuong commune, Dong Nai province (formerly). Due to an oversight during a bank transaction, Mr. Thai mistakenly transferred the money to Mr. Son's bank account. Subsequently, the Cua Tung commune police instructed Mr. Tran Van Son to cooperate with the bank to complete the procedures for returning the 205 million VND to Mr. Nguyen Hong Thai in accordance with regulations.
According to the leader of the Cua Tung commune police, Mr. Son's proactive reporting and return of the mistakenly transferred money is highly commendable and deserves praise, as it demonstrates honesty and responsibility.
At the same time, the police advise people who receive mistakenly transferred money or assets of unknown origin to proactively contact the authorities or banks for guidance on proper handling procedures, avoiding legal risks.
