On June 18, Phu Rieng District Police ( Binh Phuoc ) said they were temporarily detaining a tractor trailer and evidence including more than 6 tons of waste to investigate and clarify the act of dumping waste on a rubber lot in Phu Vinh village, Phu Rieng commune (Phu Rieng District).
Previously, at around 4:00 p.m. on June 17, people discovered a car pulling a trailer illegally dumping waste in a rubber plantation of people in Phu Vinh village, Phu Rieng commune, so they reported it to the police.
Tractor truck carrying waste to dump in rubber lot
Upon receiving the report, Phu Rieng Commune Police coordinated with Phu Rieng District Department of Natural Resources and Environment and Binh Phuoc Provincial Police Department of Economic Police to arrive at the scene to inspect and handle the case.
Upon inspection, the police determined that Mr. VVQ (33 years old) and Ms. HTNL (38 years old, both residing in Binh Phuoc province) were dumping 2 sacks of waste from the truck into the rubber plantation. Behind the trailer were 10 white sacks containing solid waste.
The waste includes all kinds of debris, construction materials...
Ms. L. confessed that the above waste was ash and furnace scrap given to her by a company located in Binh Duong province to fertilize rubber trees.
Through initial verification, it was determined that the above waste included coal ash, debris, construction materials, plastic pieces... with a total weight of more than 6 tons.
Phu Rieng District Police are temporarily holding the vehicle and evidence.
Phu Rieng District Police have temporarily seized the exhibits and vehicles to continue investigating and clarifying the case of a tractor-trailer illegally dumping waste onto a rubber plantation.
