Election of 3 additional Vice Chairmen of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee

(Dan Tri) - The People's Council of Ho Chi Minh City has just elected Mr. Hoang Nguyen Dinh, Mr. Nguyen Cong Vinh, and Mr. Tran Van Bay to hold the positions of Vice Chairmen of the City People's Committee.

At the 5th session (special session), term X, term 2021-2026, taking place on the morning of November 14, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Nguyen Van Duoc presented a proposal to introduce personnel to elect additional positions of Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee term X, term 2021-2026.

The introduced personnel are Deputy Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Hoang Nguyen Dinh; Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Finance Nguyen Cong Vinh; and Chief Inspector of Ho Chi Minh City Tran Van Bay.

The voting results showed that the delegates voted with confidence to elect Mr. Nguyen Van Tho to hold the position of Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council and unanimously elected additional positions of Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee for Mr. Hoang Nguyen Dinh, Mr. Nguyen Cong Vinh and Mr. Tran Van Bay.

With the election of 3 additional leadership personnel, the current Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee includes Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Nguyen Van Duoc and Vice Chairmen: Mr. Tran Van Bay, Mr. Nguyen Loc Ha, Mr. Nguyen Manh Cuong, Mr. Bui Xuan Cuong, Mr. Nguyen Van Dung, Mr. Bui Minh Thanh, Ms. Tran Thi Dieu Thuy, Mr. Hoang Nguyen Dinh, Mr. Nguyen Cong Vinh.

Mr. Hoang Nguyen Dinh (born in 1980, hometown in Hue City), has a Bachelor of Law, Master of Bridge and Tunnel Construction; Advanced Political Theory.

Mr. Hoang Nguyen Dinh holds the position of Deputy Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee from July 1 after merging the three localities of Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong , and Ba Ria Vung Tau.

Before holding the position of Deputy Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, Mr. Dinh was Secretary of the Vung Tau City Party Committee (formerly Ba Ria - Vung Tau province).

He also held the position of Chairman of Chau Duc District People's Committee and then Secretary of Chau Duc District Party Committee (former Ba Ria - Vung Tau province).

Mr. Nguyen Cong Vinh (born in 1972, hometown in Ho Chi Minh City), has a Bachelor of Law and Advanced Political Theory.

Mr. Nguyen Cong Vinh has held the position of Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Finance since July 1.

Previously, Mr. Vinh was Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of the former Ba Ria - Vung Tau province. Mr. Vinh also held the positions of Chief of Office, Vice Chairman and then Chairman of the People's Committee of Chau Duc district, and Director of the Department of Planning and Investment of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province.

Mr. Tran Van Bay (born in 1971, hometown in Dong Nai province), has a Master's degree in Law and Advanced Political Theory.

Mr. Tran Van Bay used to work at Ho Chi Minh City University of Law and Ho Chi Minh City Department of Justice.

He held the position of Chairman of the People's Committee of District 9 from March 16, 2017 to the end of 2020.

After the ceremony to announce the establishment of Thu Duc City, Mr. Bay was arranged and transferred to the Committee to implement Resolution 1111 of the National Assembly.

Mr. Tran Van Bay holds the position of Deputy Director of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Ho Chi Minh City from March 2021 to June 2024.

From June 5, 2024 to present, he was transferred and appointed to the position of Chief Inspector of Ho Chi Minh City.
