Closing Ceremony of the 6th Excellent Lecturer Competition - 2025 of Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics

After 2 days of active and effective work, on the afternoon of November 11, the 6th Excellent Lecturer Competition - 2025 of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics was successful, completing the contents according to the proposed program.

Speaking at the closing ceremony, Professor, Dr. Nguyen Xuan Thang, Politburo member, Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, said that the contest was conducted objectively and in accordance with regulations. Candidates participated in the contest in the correct order and major as registered with 2 contents: lesson plan contest and lecture contest with the number of lessons and topics drawn by lot.

The 6th Competition has 50 lecturers registered to participate in 27 majors in 7 sub-committees. Compared to the 5th Competition - 2023, the 6th Competition has increased by 11 majors. Among the 50 lecturers registered to participate, there are 15 male lecturers (accounting for 30%), 35 female lecturers (accounting for 70%). The youngest contestant was born in 1999, the oldest contestant was born in 1974.

50 candidates participating in the Academy-level Competition were selected from the basic-level competitions (including specialized institutes and affiliated academies). These are typical lecturers out of more than 1,400 lecturers in the entire Academy system. Being selected to participate in the Academy-level Competition is not only an honor for the candidates but also a source of pride for the units in the Academy.

Over the past two days, the contestants have made every effort in each lesson, confidently demonstrating their abilities, professional knowledge, positivity and initiative in applying innovative teaching methods. "Weighing the scales" is also a difficult task for each sub-judge panel in particular and the Jury in general.

With the impartiality, objectivity and practical teaching experience of the judges, the Contest selected 20 individuals to win the title of "Excellent Lecturer" and 30 individuals to win the title of "Good Lecturer".

The success of the 6th Excellent Lecturer Competition - 2025 is the joint efforts of many individuals, groups and participating units. The units have coordinated with a high sense of responsibility on the basis of fully understanding the goals, meanings and importance of organizing the Excellent Lecturer Competition. This is proof, a good start for promoting emulation movements of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, contributing to discovering and praising advanced models of the Academy system.

Continuing the success of this contest, Professor, Dr. Nguyen Xuan Thang suggested that lecturers and contestants participating in the contest should proactively promote self-study and research to improve their knowledge, professional expertise, and cultivate modern teaching methods. Because you are not only teachers who impart knowledge but also people who inspire learning, creative research, and application of theory to practice for generations of students, especially knowledge to apply in the leadership and management process; contributing to the development of agencies, units, and localities, bringing Vietnam firmly into international integration.

The Organizing Committee of the Competition continues to research and advise the Board of Directors of the Academy to innovate methods and ways of organizing the Excellent Lecturer Competition at all levels to aim for quality and efficiency. The Academy's leaders, heads of units and experts of specialized fields focus on building, training and developing the unit's young lecturers to meet the requirements of tasks in the coming period; contributing to consolidating the position, prestige and influence of the Academy nationwide in general.

The Standing Committee of the Contest Organizing Committee continues to promote the spirit of cooperation and coordination in the next Contests, closely research the actual situation of the Academy, and advise on amending and supplementing the Contest Regulations in the most appropriate, simple and effective way.
