
Taking place from November 27 to December 1, 2025, the 4th International Festival of New Music brought a sumptuous musical "party", where international and Vietnamese artists performed, exchanged and discussed to find new approaches to music.
The festival brings together nearly 30 international musicians and artists from: Russian Federation, Tatarstan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Republic of Adygea, Denmark, Belgium, Germany, Switzerland, Spain, Japan, China, Australia, Laos.
Besides, there are more than 220 musicians and artists from domestic art troupes: Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra, Vietnam National Academy of Music, Vietnam National Opera and Ballet, Military University of Culture and Arts, Vietnam Musicians Association...

Evaluating the Festival, Associate Professor, Doctor, musician Do Hong Quan, Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Chairman of the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations , Artistic Director of the Festival, commented: With 5 concert programs including nearly 100 works in the genres: symphony, concerto, choir, chamber music, romance for voice, folk instrument ensemble..., the 4th International Festival of New Music has shown the richness and diversity of the vitality of contemporary music today.
International musicians from Asia, Europe, Australia, America, etc. brought to the Festival new works of high artistic quality, rich in humanity, influence and persuasion.
According to Associate Professor, Doctor, musician Do Hong Quan, through the Festival, we can see the growth of the professional music industry in each country, especially the right development of Vietnamese music, going from national to modern, taking the national soul to integrate with world civilization and culture. The Festival also recognizes the maturity of the young generation of musicians, especially from Vietnam, Japan, Kazakhstan...

Speaking at the closing ceremony, Major General, musician Duc Trinh, Chairman of the Vietnam Musicians Association affirmed: In recent days, the audience has been immersed in new and rich artistic emotions, in a musical space that converges the colors and languages of Eastern and Western music. These are the outstanding artistic successes of the 2025 International Festival of New Music.
According to Musician Duc Trinh, that success was achieved thanks to the contributions of musical works from all international and Vietnamese musicians attending the Festival, including new and notable musical discoveries such as works by musicians Shotaro Matsunami (Japan), Alexander Radvilovich Mukhamejanov (Russia), Shcherbakov Vasily Fedorovich (Russia), Tolegen Mukhamejanov (Kazakhstan), Werner Heinrich Schmitt (Germany); or young Vietnamese musicians such as: Nguyen Thi Ngoc Tu; Tran Luu Hoang; Nguyen Minh Trang...
The musical creations combined with the performing talents of Vietnamese and international artists have created special marks for this year's Festival season.

At the Closing Ceremony, the Organizing Committee awarded Festival participation certificates to international and Vietnamese musicians and artists to recognize their contributions to the overall success of the 4th International New Music Festival.
Also at the Closing Ceremony, music lovers had the opportunity to enjoy a special concert performed by the Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Conductor Honna Tetsuji.

The program brings many unique musical works by Vietnamese and international artists, such as: “Colors” for pipa ensemble (Duc Trinh); Concerto “Thang Long” for bamboo flute and Symphony Orchestra (Nguyen Thieu Hoa); “Sunshine-Rain” for monochord and Symphony Orchestra (Nguyen Trong Dai); “Astana” for Symphony Orchestra (Tolegen Mukhamejanov, Kazakhstan); “Zaratustra” movement 4 for Symphony Orchestra (Azamat Khassanshin, Russia); “Eternal Friendship” for Symphony Orchestra (Zhong Juncheng, China)…
