After more than 2 days of exciting activities, this morning (March 17), the 2024 National Press Festival closed. The organizing committee summarized and presented the awards. Thanh Hoa Newspaper was honored to receive the C prize - Impressive Tet Newspaper Cover Award.

Attending the event were Mr. Nguyen Trong Nghia, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda Department; Mr. Tran Luu Quang, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Prime Minister; Mr. Le Quoc Minh, Member of the Party Central Committee, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department, President of the Vietnam Journalists Association .
With the theme “Vietnamese Press - Pioneer, Innovation for the Revolutionary Cause of the Party and People”, the press conference is a highlight of the professionalism, humanity, and modernity of Vietnamese revolutionary press, demonstrated through professional activities, exhibitions, displays, as well as unique cultural and artistic programs.
Speaking at the closing ceremony of the press conference, Mr. Nguyen Duc Loi, Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Journalists Association and Head of the Organizing Committee, said that the 2024 National Press Conference was held for the first time in the South on the largest scale ever, with 120 booths displaying typical press publications of 63 provincial and municipal Journalists Associations, more than 300 central and local press agencies, and major journalism training institutions nationwide.
Journalist Nguyen Duc Loi, Permanent Vice President of Vietnam Journalists Association, delivered a closing speech at the press conference.
The units displayed and introduced images and outstanding press products, advanced technology equipment, modern press techniques, and rich press training and development content. This was truly a unique cultural and spiritual convergence of journalists across the country.
According to Mr. Nguyen Duc Loi, the new features of the press conference such as: Press forum, OCOP product display have received strong response from the press, attracting strong participation and interaction from agencies, organizations and all classes of people nationwide.
“The success of the National Press Festival clearly demonstrates the results of the spirit of solidarity among press agencies, press management and leadership agencies; among all levels of the Journalists Association; between the press - businesses - the public; joining hands and unanimously promoting innovation in journalism, seizing opportunities, working together to overcome difficulties and challenges, towards a modern, professional, humane press, to serve the country and the people better and better,” said Mr. Nguyen Duc Loi.
Speaking at the closing ceremony, Party Central Committee Secretary and Head of the Central Propaganda Department Nguyen Trong Nghia congratulated the success of the Press Festival and sent his best wishes to veteran journalists and journalists nationwide.

The press conference gathered hundreds of central and local press agencies, all levels of the Vietnam Journalists Association in 63 provinces and cities; thousands of journalists and attracted tens of thousands of visitors.
Mr. Nguyen Trong Nghia highly appreciated the display of OCOP products, which helps businesses enhance their brands and promote their products. In particular, the highlight of the press conference is the national press forum with 10 discussions on press and media topics that are very lively and practical. Along with that are special cultural and artistic programs, awarding Spring press awards and meaningful sports and arts awards for journalists.
2024 is a very important year in implementing the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress and towards the 14th National Party Congress, commemorating many important events of the country. Mr. Nguyen Trong Nghia hopes that press agencies need to focus on promoting the implementation of socio-economic development tasks; closely following the breath of life to reflect, contribute ideas, create and spread good and humane values in society; bring policies and laws into life, meeting the expectations of all people.
Press agencies need to continue to promote digital transformation, apply modern technology, pay attention to investing, upgrading equipment and facilities, and regularly innovate and create in producing and broadcasting programs, news and articles.
In addition, press agencies must strengthen the work of building a clean and strong Party; constantly foster and improve the political capacity, revolutionary ethics and professional expertise of journalists; and be more determined to build each press agency into a typical cultural agency.
Head of the Central Propaganda Department Nguyen Trong Nghia requested that heads of press agencies need to enhance their roles and responsibilities within the scope of their duties and powers, especially in implementing legal regulations on the press, especially implementing the principles and purposes; have solutions to strictly manage and create favorable conditions for reporters and editors to operate in accordance with the provisions of the Press Law and related legal documents.
“Each journalist needs to have a deeper understanding of their role, position, function and mission in the Vietnamese Revolutionary Press; constantly cultivate and improve their political qualities, professional ethics, professional qualifications and technological skills; train their talents and virtues to have “bright eyes, pure hearts and sharp pens” and be worthy of being pioneers on the ideological and cultural front of the Party, State and people,” Mr. Nguyen Trong Nghia emphasized.

At the closing ceremony, the Organizing Committee awarded 5 A prizes, 15 B prizes, 26 C prizes, 36 consolation prizes for excellent display booths. The Organizing Committee also awarded 3 A prizes, 5 B prizes, 10 C prizes and 29 consolation prizes for the Impressive Tet Newspaper Cover Award; the Impressive Tet Electronic Interface Award had 1 A prize, 3 B prizes, 6 C prizes, 9 consolation prizes; the Impressive Tet Television Award: 1 A prize, 3 B prizes, 5 C prizes, 9 consolation prizes; the Impressive Tet Radio Award: 1 A prize, 3 B prizes, 6 C prizes, 5 consolation prizes.
