Closing the 6th Session, Provincial People's Council, term X, 2021 - 2026

After nearly 02 days of urgent and serious work, on the morning of December 9, the 6th Session of the Provincial People's Council, term X, term 2021 - 2026, completed the proposed content and program and closed.

Provincial People's Council delegates participated in questioning at the meeting.

During the working session on the morning of December 9, delegates questioned the Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment, the Director of the Provincial Police, and the Director of the Department of Construction regarding the use of banned substances, toxic substances, electric shocks, and destructive fishing gear to exploit aquatic resources; environmental pollution; waste collection and treatment; waste classification at source; investment in the construction of waste treatment plants; flooding, high tides, and landslides due to climate change.

The answers to the questions of the department directors clarified the issues raised by the delegates, focused on the main points, assessed the limitations and had specific solutions to implement in the coming time. The focus is to promote propaganda to raise awareness and consciousness of the people and strengthen inspection and handling of violations in the destructive exploitation of aquatic resources and violations of foreign waters; calling for and implementing investment in waste treatment plants; investing in closed sewer and dyke systems to serve production as well as contributing to limiting the situation of high tides causing flooding, especially in urban areas.

On behalf of the Provincial People's Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Van Su thanked the Provincial People's Council delegates and voters for their attention to all aspects of the work of the Provincial People's Committee and State administrative agencies at all levels in the province. Thereby, he hoped to continue to receive many comments and feedback from the Provincial People's Council delegates and voters to strive to successfully complete the goals and tasks of the socio- economic development plan for 2026 and the following years.

Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Minh Luan requested departments, branches and localities to pay attention to promoting the implementation of breakthrough solutions in science and technology development, digital transformation; effectively manage and use the allocated funding for this field in the period of 2026 - 2030.

Concluding the question-and-answer session, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Pham Van Thieu requested the Provincial People's Committee and relevant agencies to continue to pay attention to and resolve the issues raised by the Provincial People's Council delegates; for issues that were not answered at the question-and-answer session, requested the Provincial People's Committee and directors of relevant departments to respond in writing to the delegates. At the same time, promptly propose and implement solutions to remove existing difficulties and limitations, meeting the expectations of the majority of voters and people in the province.

At the meeting, the Provincial People's Council delegates voted to pass 35 Resolutions in various fields; of which, there were 22 legal resolutions. The contents of the Resolutions are of great significance, clearly demonstrating the Party and Government's concern for the interests of the people in the province; at the same time, clearly defining the province's development goals and aspirations in the coming years.

In his closing speech at the meeting, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Pham Van Thieu requested the Provincial People's Committee to develop a specific program and plan to promptly deploy and organize the implementation of the Resolutions of the Provincial People's Council that have just been passed; seriously absorb the opinions of delegates, voters and people to have more drastic and effective solutions in leading and directing the implementation of the province's socio-economic development tasks; at the same time, request the Provincial People's Council delegates to fully report the results of the meeting to voters immediately after the meeting; listen to the thoughts and aspirations of the people; learn and grasp the reality of social life to promptly reflect and make recommendations to the Provincial People's Council, Provincial People's Committee and relevant agencies for consideration and resolution.

Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Pham Van Thieu called on all levels, sectors, armed forces, business community, voters and people in the province to continue promoting the tradition of solidarity, the spirit of innovation, creativity, joining hands and unanimity to successfully implement the goals and tasks set out by the Provincial Party Congress for the 2025 - 2030 term, determined to create breakthroughs and strong changes in the socio-economic development of the province, creating a solid development momentum in the new period.
