On May 28, 2024, the Supervisory Delegation of Ben Luc District People's Council led by Mr. Mai Van To - Member of the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the District People's Council, had a supervision session and worked with the People's Committee of An Thanh Commune on the implementation of legal provisions in compensation and site clearance for non-budget investment projects in the commune. Specifically, the An Thanh Garden Villa Residential Area project.

An Thanh Garden Villa Residential Area Project is invested by Hoang Long Infrastructure Development Investment One Member Co., Ltd. (now Hoang Long Infrastructure Development Investment Joint Stock Company); land use right certificate No. BH 837381 dated May 9, 2012 issued by Long An Department of Natural Resources and Environment with an area (phase 1) of 124,670.5m2 .
The project has 95 cases subject to compensation and site clearance (BT, GPMB) with 217,830.5m2 . Up to now, BT, GPMB has been 188,684m2 (accounting for about 90% of the total project area), the remaining area of 21,491m2 of 08 households has not been implemented due to disagreement on compensation and support prices. The total number of plots of land that must be resettled in the project is 141 plots/4.3087ha, up to now, 135 plots have been handed over to the people. Of which, the number of plots that have been granted certificates to the investor is 134 plots, the number of plots that have been granted certificates to the people is 128, the remaining number has not been granted due to disputes over inheritance, name transfer procedures, etc.
In general, the compensation, support and resettlement of the An Thanh Garden Villa Residential Area project basically meets the requirements, and the procedures are in accordance with regulations. In addition, there are also some difficulties and problems such as resettlement arrangements, some households have not yet handed over the land, and the technical infrastructure is not yet complete.
In fact, the delegation also discovered some shortcomings and limitations that need to be overcome, such as: Compensation and site clearance for the Garden Villa Residential Area project is still slow in some projects. Coordination between agencies and units is sometimes not synchronous and tight, leading to slow and prolonged project progress. Technical infrastructure in the project is still not complete, and some households have not agreed to receive compensation and support.
Mr. Mai Van To - Vice Chairman of the District People's Council requested the People's Committee of An Thanh commune and all sectors and levels to pay attention to resolving cases related to complaints about compensation and site clearance to ensure harmony and ensure benefits for local people./.
