Ben Luc summarizes national defense and security education work in 2023

On the afternoon of April 8, 2024, at the hall of the District Military Command, the Ben Luc District National Defense and Security Education Council held a conference to summarize the work of national defense and security education in 2023 and deploy directions and tasks for 2024. Attending the conference were Colonel Truong Quoc Vinh - Deputy Commander of the Long An Provincial Military Command. Vice Chairman of Ben Luc District People's Committee, Chairman of the District National Defense and Security Education Council chaired the conference.

Collectives and individuals were awarded certificates of merit by the Chairman of the District People's Committee.

During the year, The National Defense and Security Education Council from the commune to the district has advised on opening 4 classes to improve national defense and security knowledge for over 620 delegates. High schools in the area have organized national defense education classes for over 5,700 students, reaching 100%. In addition, 2 intermediate and vocational schools in the area have also ensured national defense education classes for over 600 students.

Many localities have done a good job of disseminating and popularizing knowledge of national defense and security to the entire population, doing a good job of uniting ethnic minorities, paying attention to building religious solidarity in the area and having new ways, good and creative models. Thereby, gradually equipping and improving knowledge of national defense and security of all levels, sectors and classes of people, contributing to the fight to defeat all plots and peaceful evolution of hostile forces, ensuring local security and order in all situations.

Deploying the tasks for 2024, the Vice Chairman of the District People's Committee and Chairman of the District National Defense and Security Education Council requested localities to continue to do a good job of national defense and security education for all subjects, focusing on innovating forms and methods, improving the quality and effectiveness of disseminating national defense and security knowledge to all people, focusing on educating the national defense and military guidelines and the task of protecting the Fatherland in the new situation.

On this occasion, 4 collectives and 9 individuals with outstanding achievements in national defense and security education in 2023 were awarded certificates of merit by the Chairman of the District People's Committee./.
