"In the context of comprehensive digital transformation, the application of AI in medical examination and treatment activities and hospital management is an inevitable trend. The application of many artificial intelligence (AI) solutions in X-ray and CT diagnosis, treatment support and data management is bringing positive results," Associate Professor Tung shared at the launching ceremony of the AI - IoT - CDS Club, which took place on the afternoon of December 5.

According to Associate Professor Tung, with the operation of the AI - IoT - Digital Transformation Club, doctors and engineers are connected during the AI pilot in diagnosis and treatment, creating the foundation for a smart hospital model that focuses on patients.
To date, Duc Giang General Hospital is one of three units selected by the Hanoi Department of Health to pilot the application of AI in medical examination and treatment, aiming to improve service quality and put patients at the center.
Associate Professor Tung said that the Club will conduct a survey on HIS - PACS - RIS (integrating three systems) to create a closed diagnosis and treatment process, helping the hospital operate quickly, accurately, limit errors, and serve digital transformation in healthcare.
The hospital also surveyed and upgraded its information technology infrastructure, and organized seminars on AI in diagnostic imaging and management - a step in preparing for the development of technical reports and implementation plans.
Next, the hospital will focus on training AI in X-ray and brain CT, piloting AI for chest X-ray and emergency CT; monitoring processing speed, accuracy, and errors.
According to Associate Professor Tung, the application of digital transformation and AI will contribute to improving the quality of treatment and reducing waiting time for patients.
According to the Ministry of Health , in recent years, the strong development of AI has opened up many great opportunities in the medical field, especially in Vietnam.
Applying AI to the medical examination and treatment system not only helps improve the quality of diagnosis and treatment but also optimizes hospital management processes, contributing to reducing the workload of medical staff and improving patient satisfaction.
AI application is one of the key solutions in the current digital transformation phase. Not only supporting diagnosis, treatment and hospital management, AI also opens up breakthrough opportunities in the development of precision medicine, telemedicine and personalized treatment.
Up to now, many hospitals have applied AI to hospital management, supporting diagnosis and treatment, contributing to improving treatment quality, aiming at patient satisfaction.
