Newlife tissue bank is a well-invested facility with clean rooms, tissue testing and inspection equipment, tissue classification, extraction, and deep freezing preservation... All integrated into a modern storage system, aiming for international GMP standards.
According to representatives from Phan Chau Trinh University Hospital, previously, families in Central Vietnam who needed to store umbilical cord blood often had to send samples to Hanoi , Ho Chi Minh City, or countries like Thailand, Singapore, and Malaysia, which posed risks regarding temperature and the "golden" time for cell preservation.
The establishment of the Newlife Tissue Bank at Phan Chau Trinh University Hospital not only facilitates the rapid reception, preservation, storage, and supply of umbilical cord blood, but can also accept adipose tissue and umbilical cord tissue.
Simultaneously, the bank becomes a source of mesenchymal stem cells from umbilical cord blood and adipose tissue for research and production centers of stem cells and exosomes for the treatment of acquired or congenital diseases.
Globally , research and treatment are currently being conducted on approximately 80 different diseases, including leukemia, bone marrow failure, autoimmune diseases and metabolic disorders, diabetes, COPD, osteoarthritis, etc., using stem cell products.
Stem cell research is also opening the door to treatment for patients with stroke, paralysis due to spinal cord injury or neurodegenerative diseases, adult dementia, autism, etc.
Storing umbilical cord blood cells not only protects and treats the child themselves if they unfortunately develop a serious illness later in life, but also provides a valuable source of cells for relatives if they have compatible biological markers.
In particular, the aim is to create the most favorable conditions for people in Da Nang city and neighboring provinces to access umbilical cord tissue storage services and advanced regenerative medicine services.
