Ms. Vu Thi Ngoc Tram, Deputy Head of the Front Work Committee of Area 6, Tan An Ward, said: The "Zero-dong Kitchen" model has been implemented since the end of 2023 until now, following the love sharing program of the Women's Union of Area 6. Funding comes from socialized sources. Many benefactors support additional vegetables, ingredients, and spices. Meals are rotated: rice, vermicelli, porridge, pasta, banh lot, bread, etc. to change the taste and make the meals more diverse. This is one of the typical social security activities of the area, aiming to contribute to sharing and supporting everyone, especially those in difficulty.
In addition to the free meals, the Regional Front Committee 6 also actively mobilizes benefactors to donate rice and necessities to disadvantaged households in the area on holidays, Tet or big full moon days. For example, on the full moon day of the 7th lunar month, Phuc Van noodle shop donated 150 gifts, Bich Hop's family donated 100 gifts...
The love shared and extended from the "Zero-dong Kitchen" to other social charity activities of the Front Work Committee and the branches and organizations of region 6 have contributed to building an increasingly strong and cohesive cultural life at the grassroots level.
