The Secretary of Chuong My Ward was appointed to hold the position of Chairman of the Hanoi City Labor Federation.

Comrade Nguyen Van Thang, member of the City Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Chuong My Ward (Hanoi) was appointed to join the Executive Committee, Standing Committee and hold the position of Chairman of the Hanoi City Labor Federation for the 2023-2028 term.

Leaders of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi City presented flowers to congratulate comrade Nguyen Van Thang.

On November 14, the Hanoi City Labor Federation held a conference to announce the decision to appoint and supplement Executive Committee members, Standing Committee members and the position of President of the City Labor Federation for the 2023-2028 term.

The conference announced Decision No. 391/QD-TLĐ dated November 10, 2025 of the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor , appointing Mr. Nguyen Van Thang, member of the City Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Chuong My Ward (Hanoi) to join the Executive Committee, Standing Committee and hold the position of Chairman of the Hanoi City Labor Federation for the 2023-2028 term.

Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Ngo Duy Hieu presented the Decision and flowers to congratulate comrade Nguyen Van Thang.

Speaking at the conference, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Ngo Duy Hieu highly appreciated the working process and outstanding contributions of comrade Nguyen Van Thang - a cadre who grew up from the grassroots, received thorough training, held many important positions and always completed his tasks excellently.

Comrade Ngo Duy Hieu expressed his belief that with his rich practical experience, innovative thinking and close working style, Comrade Nguyen Van Thang will quickly integrate, get to work right away, promote his sense of responsibility to lead the Capital Trade Union to successfully complete its functions and tasks, and at the same time create a new mark in trade union activities.

In the immediate future, the Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor requested Comrade Nguyen Van Thang and the leadership team to focus on directing the successful organization of the Grassroots Trade Union Congress and effectively implementing activities to take care of the Lunar New Year 2026 for union members and workers.

In his new position, comrade Nguyen Van Thang pledged to work with the leadership to concretize the resolutions and directions of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and the Hanoi Party Committee into practical action programs; promote patriotic emulation movements; take better care of the material and spiritual lives of union members and workers; contribute to building an increasingly strong working class in the capital, meeting the requirements of rapid and sustainable development of Hanoi - the political , economic and cultural center of the whole country.
