Secretary of Da Nang City Party Committee visits and encourages people of Thuong Duc commune to overcome consequences of natural disasters

DNO - On the afternoon of December 9, Party Central Committee member and City Party Committee Secretary Le Ngoc Quang visited and encouraged households that suffered heavy losses due to floods in Dong Cham village, Thuong Duc commune. Accompanying him were Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Tran Nam Hung and Chief of the City Party Committee Office Phan Van Binh.

Here, the City Party Secretary kindly inquired about people's living conditions, shared their difficulties and hoped that people would continue to make efforts to overcome difficulties and soon stabilize their lives.

The City Party Secretary affirmed that the city is implementing the "Quang Trung Campaign" in accordance with the direction of the Prime Minister , with the highest determination to speed up the construction and repair of houses for people.

The goal is to help people stabilize their housing and welcome the Year of the Horse 2026 in joy with a new, safe and warm home.

The City Party Secretary commended the local Party Committee, government and armed forces for proactively supporting people in recent times; at the same time, he asked the forces to continue promoting their sense of responsibility and stand side by side with the people in the upcoming period of overcoming consequences.

It is known that the recent floods have severely affected Thuong Duc and Ha Nha communes, with more than 13,000 houses affected, of which 39 houses were severely damaged along with many cultural institutions. The total damage is estimated at about 300 billion VND.
