Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee visited and worked with Petrovietnam and attended the ceremony to place a plaque on the project to welcome the 14th National Congress of the Party.

On the morning of November 8, 2025, within the framework of the working program with the Vietnam National Industry and Energy Group (Petrovietnam), comrade Tran Luu Quang - Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee visited, worked and attended the launching ceremony and the installation of the Central Technology Platform Base (CPP) - Block B Gas Field Development Project, held at the Center for Energy Industry and Technical Logistics (CNL & HCKT Center) of the Vietnam Oil and Gas Technical Services Corporation (PTSC). Also participating in the program were comrades in the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, representatives of the People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, leaders of departments, branches, sectors and central and local press agencies. On the side of Petrovietnam, there was the participation of comrade Le Manh Hung - Party Committee Secretary, Chairman of the Board of Members; Comrade Tran Quang Dung - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, together with leaders of the Board of Members, Board of Directors, specialized Departments and member units, affiliated units, Phu Quoc Petroleum Operating Company (Phu Quoc POC) - Project operator and PTSC - main contractor.

Project to welcome the Party Congress – Symbol of the aspiration for autonomy and development of Vietnam's Industry and Energy sector

  Taking place in the exciting emulation atmosphere of the entire Party and people towards the 14th National Congress of the Party, and at the same time practically celebrating the 64th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Vietnam Oil and Gas Industry - now the Vietnam Industry - Energy Industry (November 27, 1961 - November 27, 2025), the launching ceremony and the installation of the Central Technology Platform Base - Block B Gas Field Development Project have special significance. This is not only an important technical event, but also a symbol of the will of self-reliance, creative spirit and aspiration to rise of the collective of officers, engineers and workers of Petrovietnam on the journey to fulfill the mission of ensuring national energy security and sustainable development of the country in the new era. The project is an important milestone in the development process of Petrovietnam, contributing to the realization of the Resolution of the 4th Party Congress of the Group, term 2025-2030, towards the goal of building a Vietnam National Industry and Energy Group with sustainable development, modernity and deep international integration.

Milestone of the National Key Project

Block B project chain is a national key project, in which the central processing platform CPP is the heart of the project. The CPP jacket weighs 7,700 tons, constructed and manufactured entirely by PTSC at the PTSC Center for Oil and Gas Engineering and Technology - a key industrial facility of Petrovietnam, with a scale of nearly 200 hectares, equipped with synchronous infrastructure and modern equipment, meeting international standards for offshore oil and gas mechanical and renewable energy projects. In order to recognize the value, stature and significance of the project, on September 12, 2025, the Party Committee of the Vietnam National Energy Industry Group issued a Decision on the affixing of the sign "Central Technology Platform Jacket Project - Block B Gas Field Development Project to welcome the 14th National Congress of the Party".

In an exciting atmosphere, the ceremony took place with the plaque-attaching and launching of the Central Technology Platform Base. The event marked an important milestone in the implementation of the Block B Gas Field Development Project - a project of national scale, carried out by a team of Vietnamese engineers and workers. The Central Technology Platform is considered a symbol of the spirit of "Mastering technology - Conquering the ocean" of the Vietnamese oil and gas industry, demonstrating the persistent efforts, creativity and outstanding capacity of PTSC in the field of oil and gas mechanics and offshore energy. The completion and launching of the Central Technology Platform Base contributes to ensuring the overall progress of the Block B Gas Project, creating a solid foundation to soon bring the first gas stream ashore.

Affirming the capacity and pioneering role of PTSC

As the core unit of Petrovietnam in the field of oil and gas technical services, PTSC has been affirming its pioneering position not only in traditional oil and gas projects but also in the supply chain of offshore renewable energy projects (NE). By participating in the construction and fabrication of key projects such as central technology platforms, wellhead platforms, offshore transformer stations, wind power jackets, etc., PTSC has demonstrated its leading EPCI general contractor capacity in the region. PTSC Oil and Gas Engineering Center - where the ceremony was held - is currently the largest oil and gas - energy industrial complex in Vietnam, playing a fundamental role in forming a domestic value chain for the energy industry, and is also a strategic infrastructure for the development of Petrovietnam and Ho Chi Minh City in the journey to become a regional energy industry center. The launching and plaque-posting event of the Central Technology Platform Base not only has technical and industrial significance, but also symbolizes the intelligence, bravery and creative working spirit of Petrovietnam workers, contributing to the goal of building a Vietnam National Industry and Energy Group to develop sustainably and reach the regional level by 2030.
