On the occasion of the death anniversary of the late General Secretary Le Kha Phieu (June 18 of the lunar calendar), on the morning of July 23, a delegation of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thanh Hoa province led by comrade Do Trong Hung, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, came to offer flowers and incense to commemorate the late General Secretary Le Kha Phieu in Dong Khe commune (Dong Son).

Late General Secretary Le Kha Phieu was born on December 27, 1931, in Dong Khe commune, Dong Son district, Thanh Hoa province. During his revolutionary career, late General Secretary Le Kha Phieu held many important positions in the army, held the position of Director of the General Political Department of the Vietnam People's Army and was elected General Secretary of the Party Central Committee in 1997.
