Reporting to the Provincial Party Secretary and the Working Group on the situation of prevention, response and overcoming consequences of floods, teacher Le Thi Canh, Principal of Dinh An Kindergarten, said that before the flood, the school had moved all machinery to higher ground so there was no damage.
However, heavy rains and floods caused the entire school yard and warehouse to be flooded. The water level was 40-60cm higher than the school yard, causing many landscapes and playground equipment for children to be washed away. After the water receded, a large amount of mud and soil remained, significantly affecting the school's operations, as well as the children's learning and parents' pick-up and drop-off.

During the flood, the school received attention from all levels and sectors. The Commune People's Committee continuously inspected and directed support to overcome the consequences. Teachers, staff, and youth union members are actively participating in cleaning and beautifying the school.
Regarding this issue, it is known that the People's Committee of Hiep Thanh commune has submitted a report to the People's Committee of Lam Dong province to propose allocating capital to raise the foundation, prevent flooding, repair and upgrade the school's fence and parking lot with an estimated investment of nearly 1.4 billion VND.

Lam Dong Provincial Party Secretary Y Thanh Ha Nie Kdam highly appreciated the proactive and timely spirit of the school and the government in responding to the flood. At the same time, he shared the difficulties and hardships of the school in the current situation.
The Provincial Party Secretary also noted that the weather is unpredictable. Therefore, the school needs to be proactive and implement the "4 on-the-spot" motto in responding to floods when they occur. At the same time, the Party Committee and the government are required to closely monitor the situation and take timely support measures so that teaching and learning at the school can soon return to normal.
On this occasion, Lam Dong Provincial Party Secretary Y Thanh Ha Nie Kdam presented gifts and encouraged Dinh An Kindergarten.
