In the sacred atmosphere at the Kham Duc Victory Monument, Provincial Party Secretary Luong Nguyen Minh Triet and the delegation respectfully offered flowers and incense to express deep gratitude for the great contributions of the soldiers and people who made the Kham Duc - Ngok Tavak victory.
This victory is considered the greatest victory on the Quang Nam mountainous battlefield in 1968, a battle that dealt a strong blow to the US's will to invade, liberated Kham Duc - Phuoc Son, expanded the rear base, and made the US - puppet lose its springboard to attack the Central Highlands and Lower Laos.
The victory of Kham Duc also opened up a vital strategic corridor - the Ho Chi Minh trail, ensuring the transportation of weapons, goods and forces from the Northern rear to the Southern battlefield, expanding the horizontal transport route connecting Kham Duc - Hoi village, down to Hiep Duc and the plains of Quang Nam - Quang Da province.
At Phuoc Son District Martyrs' Cemetery, Provincial Party Secretary Luong Nguyen Minh Triet and the delegation offered flowers and incense to express deep gratitude for the sacrifices of heroic martyrs and heroic Vietnamese mothers in the cause of national liberation and reunification.
