12 excellent teams in the National 7-a-side football championship Bia Saigon Dragon Cup 2025 (VPL-S6) officially started
Today, July 18, the organizing committee of the 2025 Bia Saigon Dragon Cup 7-a-side National Football Championship (VPL-S6) and the 12 teams that made it to the final round conducted the draw, arranged the match schedule, and answered important information.
Previously, the qualifying round took place from May 18 in 8 regions: North ( Hanoi ), South (Ho Chi Minh City), Central Highlands (Gia Lai), West (Can Tho), Northeast (Hai Phong), North Central (Thanh Hoa), Central (Da Nang) and South Central (Khanh Hoa). A total of 60 teams participated in the qualifying round, competing in 248 matches, an increase of nearly 100 matches compared to the 2024 season, affirming the strong development and professionalism of the tournament.
The final round gathered 12 excellent teams from 8 regions, including: Thien Khoi FC, SHB, Dai Tu (North); 36 Hoang Nong Thao Vy, MyMy, Dien Bach Khoa - Ninh Thuan (South); Hieu Hoa - Quahaco (Central); Friendly (South Central); XSKT Dak Lak (Central Highlands); Son Trang (North Central); Phan Kha Construction (West); Da Lube (Northeast).
The 12 teams are divided into three groups of four teams each, playing a round-robin format. The top two teams in each group and the two best third-placed teams will advance to the quarter-finals, followed by the semi-finals and final to determine the champion.

The VPL-S6 final round will take place from July 19 to July 27 at the football field of the Culture, Information and Sports Center of Hoang Liet Ward, Hanoi. This is the first year the tournament has expanded to 8 regions, increasing the number of teams participating in the final round, marking a new step forward for the 7-a-side football field.
After the final round, a special showmatch will take place, bringing together the tournament's best players along with professional football stars, national and former Vietnamese players, to inspire and ignite the passion for football in the younger generation. This event contributes to affirming the role of VPL as a meaningful spiritual activity, spreading widely to the football-loving community.
In 2025, SABECO and VietFootball will continue to elevate Vietnamese 7-a-side football with the 3rd season of the International 7-a-side Tournament, scheduled to be held in August, bringing together teams from Thailand, the Philippines and other regions.
