Green Bibo - For a Green Earth

On Sunday morning (April 21, 2024), a large number of staff members of Bibo Mart TM Joint Stock Company were present at Hoan Kiem Lake ( Hanoi ) to collect trash around the lake, classify it and dispose of it in the right place. The members also gave people around the lake canvas bags to encourage people to reduce the use of nylon bags and protect the environment.

According to Bibo's representative, the activity was organized in response to Earth Day on April 22 with the aim of spreading the spirit of green living to the community. This is also an event that continues the series of environmental protection activities that Bibo launched at the beginning of the year under the name "Green Bibo - For a Green Earth".

Specifically, from February 2024 to present, Bibo has regularly deployed and maintained green activities at all Bibo Mart stores nationwide, including: "Give milk cartons - Give the future" (collect used milk cartons from customers to transfer to recycling units), "Turn off the lights with Bibo to light up the future" (stores simultaneously turn off lights and unnecessary electrical equipment periodically from 12:00 to 13:00 every Tuesday), "Green shopping heals the Earth" (calling on customers to always bring cloth bags when shopping).

In March 2024, Bibo continued to organize the "Recycling Day - Receive Green Living Gifts" to collect recyclable waste and instruct and promote to families how to reduce - recycle - reuse plastic and aluminum products. The activity received the support of many customers and collected more than 200kg of paper, cardboard, and plastic bottles of all kinds. Hundreds of useful recycled products were created and given to families for use.

Most recently, on March 30, 2024, all Bibo staff in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City cycled more than 20km together to spread the message of environmental protection to the community, and donated more than 50,000,000 VND to the Bibo Heart Fund to help those in difficult circumstances.

Pioneering action for a sustainable future

Sharing about the special environmental campaign that Bibo is implementing, Ms. Le Huong - Director of Green Bibo Project said: "Since its establishment, Bibo has always put sustainable development goals first and always strives to preserve and protect the environment.

2023 has ended with a record as the hottest year in history, which is an alarm bell that we need to take more drastic action. Through the Green Bibo campaign, we want to contribute to spreading environmental protection awareness to the community with the most practical and specific actions.

According to Ms. Huong, joining hands to protect the environment is also a way for Bibo to carry out its mission of taking care of mothers and babies from the roots, because people can only be healthy when the living environment is clean.

“In the coming time, Bibo will continue to organize many other meaningful activities so that the Green Bibo campaign can truly reach the community, contributing to transforming each person's awareness into specific actions,” said Ms. Huong.

Currently, Bibo Mart is the first brand in the mother and baby retail industry to implement a series of large-scale, systematic and long-term environmental protection activities. Bibo's pioneering is expected to open the way for many other mother and baby product retailers to participate, creating a strong spreading effect of the green living spirit in the community.
