BIDV deploys Google Pay payment service for Visa and MasterCard cards

This is an important step in the bank's comprehensive digital transformation journey, continuing to affirm BIDV 's pioneering position in the cashless payment trend in Vietnam.
With the new service, BIDV customers can link their Visa/Mastercard cards to the Google Wallet application to make quick and secure payments with just one touch on their phone or smartwatch at payment acceptance points worldwide.
Google Wallet supports both BIDV debit and credit cards on Android and Wear OS devices, making it easy for customers to pay at Contactless acceptance points, on e-commerce platforms or in Google Pay-enabled applications, providing a more convenient, modern and seamless shopping experience than ever before.
In particular, Google Wallet applies Tokenization technology (encrypting card numbers) and a multi-layered security system on mobile devices, ensuring absolute safety for card information. Each transaction is encrypted into a separate "token", replacing the real card number, helping to prevent the risk of information leakage and enhancing payment security for users.
The cooperation between BIDV - Google - Visa - Mastercard in deploying Google Pay service demonstrates BIDV's strong commitment to innovation and integration, bringing international standard payment experiences to Vietnamese customers.
On the occasion of its launch, BIDV launched the promotion program "Chill Card Touch - Cool Payment": Customers will receive a refund of VND 50,000 for each transaction of VND 100,000 or more when paying via Google Pay with BIDV Visa/Mastercard cards linked to Google Wallet.
Applicable period: from November 1, 2025 to January 31, 2026.
