Swimmer Vo Thi My Tien caused a stir on social media on the evening of December 13th with a photo of her walking and crying after winning the silver medal in the women's 400m individual medley at the SEA Games 33 .
This 20-year-old girl cried after being harshly criticized by Mr. Dinh Viet Hung - Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Aquatic Sports Association - right on the medal podium, in front of a crowd of spectators and international media.
But My Tien didn't stay sad for long. She competed wholeheartedly, winning a historic bronze medal at the SEA Games with her teammates in the women's 4x200m freestyle relay. My Tien's expressions in the pool while cheering for her teammates were also beautiful.
