This is one of the art events organized by the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025), the 80th anniversary of the People's Public Security Forces' Traditional Day (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025). The program is also an opportunity to honor the image of the People's Public Security Forces, to express gratitude for the silent but great contributions of the Capital Public Security Forces - the force that has played and is playing a key role in protecting national security, ensuring social order and safety, for the peace of the people and the capital Hanoi.
The play “Dialogue” is directed by People’s Artist Tuan Hai based on the script by author Trinh Huyen. Music by People’s Artist Trong Dai. Artistic design by Painter, People’s Artist Doan Bang, with the participation of Meritorious Artist Duc Quang, Nguyen Thach, Cong Dat, Mai Huyen, Thanh Tung, Kim Thanh, Xuan Hong, Trong Manh, Ha Thanh, Minh Phuong, Quynh Anh, Hoang Vu, Minh Quang and the artists of Hanoi Drama Theater.

The play revolves around Minh Tri - a young and enthusiastic police officer. While solving a case with his teammates, Tri was seriously injured and lost the ability to walk. Worried that he would become a burden to his family and Van - the girl he loved, Tri chose to quietly withdraw from love. But Van did not accept. The young girl faced difficulties, including family prejudice, to find and preserve her love. Through the story of Tri and Van, the play brings a meaningful message, not only about the ideals of a police officer but also about the will to live, love and human dignity in adversity.
The Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports said that this is a theatrical work with many artistic values and profound political meanings. The play truly reflects the uncompromising struggle of police officers against evil and bad things in modern society, thereby spreading the message of courage, sacrifice and sense of responsibility for the community and for the peace of the Fatherland of the police officers.
Recently, the work “Confrontation” was also awarded the Silver Medal for its performance at the 5th National Professional Stage Arts Festival on “The Image of the People’s Public Security Soldier”, co-organized by the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and the Vietnam Stage Artists Association.
