Binh Duong launches security and order protection force at the grassroots level with more than 4,000 members

On July 1, in Tan Uyen City, Binh Duong Province, a ceremony was held to launch the force participating in protecting security and order at the grassroots level according to the Law on Forces Participating in Protecting Security and Order at the Grassroots Level, which was passed by the 15th National Assembly at the 6th Session taking place on November 28, 2023.

Attending the launching ceremony of the force participating in protecting security and order at the grassroots level in Binh Duong were Major General Nguyen Trong Nghia, Deputy Director of the Department of Professional Records of the Ministry of Public Security ; Secretary of Binh Duong Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Van Loi; Chairman of Binh Duong Provincial People's Committee Vo Van Minh; Secretary of the Central Youth Union, Chairman of the Vietnam Student Association Nguyen Minh Triet.

Implementing the Prime Minister's Decision promulgating the Plan to implement the Law on Forces Participating in Protecting Security and Order at the Grassroots Level, the Ministry of Public Security has directed the local Public Security to advise local Party committees and authorities to prepare all conditions from material facilities, legal basis, and force selection to organize a simultaneous Launching Ceremony on July 1, 2024.

The Ministry of Public Security selected 12 localities as ceremony locations, including Binh Duong province, sent working delegations to inspect the preparations and invited Central delegates, and sent leaders of the Ministry of Public Security to attend, direct and encourage the launching ceremony of the force participating in protecting security and order at the grassroots level.

Binh Duong has established 587 security and order protection teams with more than 4,000 members. For Tan Uyen City, there are 12 teams with 590 members in hamlets and neighborhoods in communes and wards.

Specifically, for communes, 3-5 members of the Security and Order Protection Team will be arranged; in wards and towns, 5-9 members will be arranged.

The Chairman of the People's Committee of Binh Duong province believes that the force participating in protecting security and order at the grassroots level will be an effective and elite mass force, an extension of the police force in ensuring security and order, and building a movement for the entire people to protect national security.

Grassroots security forces promptly, quickly, and early resolve incidents related to security and order from the grassroots level, not allowing small conflicts to become major incidents, giving rise to crimes, and creating hot spots.

The Chairman of Binh Duong Provincial People's Committee also hopes that local authorities will pay attention to, supervise and help this force to coordinate with the police force to successfully complete assigned tasks.
