Biwase is granted an additional 16.000 billion VND in cheap capital to develop clean water sources.
With the orientation of “green credit” for infrastructure projects, creating a premise to attract investment capital, the Vietnam Development Bank committed to supporting capital up to nearly 16.000 billion VND for Biwase.
On the afternoon of September 6, Joint Stock Company - Water - Environment Corporation Binh Duong (Biwase, code BWE - HoSE) and Vietnam Development Bank - Transaction Office II (VDB) signed a Cooperation Agreement on investment credit funding.

In which, Vietnam Development Bank - Transaction Office II commits to a loan limit of VND 10.000 billion for Biwase and not exceeding VND 16.000 billion for Biwase and related units.
The loan term is equal to the capital recovery period of each project. For new investment projects, exploitation, treatment and supply of clean water for production, business and daily life, the minimum loan term is 20 years; the loan interest rate is determined according to the principles stipulated in Decree No. 78/2023/ND-CP, announced periodically every year or suddenly in case the lending interest rate of domestic commercial banks fluctuates significantly. Currently, the investment credit lending interest rate at the Bank is 6,92%/year.
At the event, Mr. Nguyen Van Thien, Chairman of Biwase shared his pride that the Company has provided clean water to over 95% of the entire Binh Duong province, treated waste in Binh Duong province (of which, 100% is recycled into organic fertilizer and burned, no longer buried) and especially, currently Biwase is following the direction of green production, circular economy, and responsible business.
It is known that in order to be able to take on the task of providing clean water and waste treatment in Binh Duong province to help attract investment capital, Biwase has taken advantage of many different sources of capital from domestic and foreign countries. In particular, the Vietnam Development Bank is the bank that has supported Biwase with many preferential loans, and with its responsibility, Biwase has also repaid the principal and interest of nearly 200 billion VND annually, ensuring the fulfillment of its obligations to the Bank.
