South Korean girl group BLACKPINK has made history with their 2020 hit “How You Like That” reaching over 1 billion streams on music streaming app Spotify, BLACKPINK’s management company announced on March 14.
According to South Korean multinational entertainment company YG Entertainment, with this achievement, BLACKPINK becomes the only female K-pop group to reach this historic milestone.
Girl group BLACKPINK currently has 32 songs with more than 100 million streams each on global music streaming platform Spotify.
In 2023, BLACKPINK was recognized by Guinness World Records as the world's most listened-to girl group on Spotify.
Upon its release in June 2020, the single “How You Like That” topped music charts in South Korea and peaked at number 33 on the Billboard Hot 100 and number 20 on the British Official Singles Top 100.
The MV also received more than 1.2 billion views on YouTube while the choreography video received more than 1.5 billion views./.
