On the evening of December 2, at Quang Lap commune, the Ministry of Public Security and the People's Committee of Lam Dong province organized the groundbreaking ceremony of the "Quang Trung Campaign" to build houses for households whose houses had collapsed or completely collapsed due to natural disasters in Lam Dong province.

These are the first three houses in Lam Dong province to be built after the Ministry of Public Security launched the " Quang Trung Campaign " launched by the Prime Minister , to rapidly rebuild and repair houses for families whose houses were damaged by recent natural disasters in the central provinces.

Speaking at the ceremony, Major General Nguyen Hong Nguyen, Deputy Chief of the Office of the Ministry of Public Security, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Civil Defense Command of the Ministry of Public Security, affirmed that "Operation Quang Trung" has profound humanitarian significance, clearly demonstrating the responsibility of the Ministry of Public Security in supporting people whose houses have collapsed or completely collapsed due to natural disasters in Lam Dong.

He highly appreciated the proactive spirit of Lam Dong Provincial Police in surveying, preparing the site, mobilizing forces and coordinating with the authorities to deploy the campaign under the motto of "urgent and effective". The construction of three houses in Quang Lap commune marked the beginning of the campaign, demonstrating the solidarity of the People's Police with the people in the disaster-stricken area.

Under the order of the Minister of Public Security, the professional units of the Ministry of Public Security and Lam Dong Provincial Police launched the peak campaign to carry out the "Quang Trung Campaign", with the spirit of the entire People's Public Security force competing to build and rebuild infrastructure for people in flood-affected areas, helping people have safe housing as quickly as possible, soon stabilize their lives and feel secure in their work and production.

Each house is worth more than 200 million VND, from the support fund of the Ministry of Public Security, the Provincial People's Committee and the locality. The houses are designed to ensure safety, suit local conditions and for long-term use.

At the ceremony, Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Muoi emphasized that in recent times, the armed forces in general and Lam Dong Provincial Police in particular have clearly demonstrated their sense of responsibility, promptly present at key points, supporting people in evacuation, rescue, ensuring security, order and performing social security tasks. Many officers and soldiers have not feared danger, directly participating in helping people in the most difficult times of the recent floods.

Regarding the task of building houses for families affected by recent floods, Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee set a target of completing the project before January 15, 2026. The province requested departments, branches, localities and armed forces to coordinate closely; in which, the Provincial Police Department was assigned to preside over and support each household during the implementation process, speed up the progress, ensure the quality of each project; and hand over houses soon so that people can stabilize their lives. At the same time, it hoped that people would continue to cooperate with the government during the construction process.
