The Ministry of Industry and Trade has officially issued Decision No. 235/QD-BCT on the Ministry's Data Architecture Framework. This is an important step towards establishing a synchronized information infrastructure system, helping to optimize data management and exploitation throughout the entire industry and trade sector.

Legal basis and strategy for issuance
Decision 235/QD-BCT is based on the system of important legal documents and digital transformation strategies of the Government and the Politburo . Specifically, it includes:
- Decree No. 40/2025/ND-CP dated February 26, 2025, stipulates the functions, tasks, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
- Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW dated December 22, 2024, of the Politburo on breakthroughs in the development of science , technology, innovation, and national digital transformation.
- Government Resolution No. 71/NQ-CP dated April 1, 2025, on the Action Program to implement Resolution 57.
- Decision No. 2439/QD-TTg dated November 4, 2025, of the Prime Minister on the National Data Architecture Framework and the Shared Data Dictionary (version 1.0).
Objectives for developing digital data infrastructure.
The issuance of the Data Architecture Framework aims to standardize management processes and ensure the interoperability and consistency of data among units within the Ministry. As requested by the Director of the Department of E-commerce and Digital Economy, this document provides the necessary technical standards for building an effective shared data ecosystem.
Furthermore, this architectural framework also serves as a guide for data governance activities, enabling agencies under the Ministry to easily connect and share information, thereby enhancing the effectiveness of state management in the industrial and commercial sectors.
Responsibility and enforcement effectiveness
Decision No. 235/QD-BCT takes effect from the date of signing. The Minister of Industry and Trade assigns responsibility for implementation to the Chief of the Ministry's Office, the Director of the Department of E-commerce and Digital Economy, and the heads of relevant units.
Notably, subordinate units need to proactively review and adjust existing information systems to ensure compatibility with the standards set out in the new Data Architecture Framework, aiming to complete e-government at the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
