The Ministry of Industry and Trade issued a Decision approving the Training and Education Plan on Digital Transformation for 2026.

The purpose of this plan is to achieve the goal of "100% of leaders, officials, civil servants, and employees in administrative units and public service units under and directly affiliated with the Ministry of Industry and Trade participating in training, refresher courses, and updating knowledge on digital transformation, digital skills, and digital technology annually," as set out in Decision No. 146/QD-TTg dated January 28, 2022, of the Prime Minister approving the Project "Raising awareness, popularizing skills, and developing human resources for national digital transformation by 2025, with orientation to 2030."

Ensure that the training and capacity-building tasks on digital transformation under Project 146 are linked to the implementation of the "Digital Literacy Movement" for the masses.

Enhancing the capacity to apply AI technology, big data, and automate public service processes will contribute to improving work efficiency and quality, and promote comprehensive digital transformation within the Ministry.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade aims to organize training and workshops on digital transformation and digital skills for 100% of civil servants, public employees, and workers in administrative units and public service units under and directly affiliated with the Ministry.

The participants include all civil servants, public employees, and workers within the Ministry's system of units. Training activities are implemented through various forms, including general and specialized courses, and online training.

The general knowledge training course on digital transformation was organized by the Department of Organization and Personnel, in coordination with the Department of E-commerce and Digital Economy and the Institute for Strategic and Policy Research in Industry and Trade.

The training courses aim to update strategic awareness and provide a comprehensive overview of digital transformation in state management. Content focuses on the concept and trends of digital transformation and the development of a digital government; national and industry-specific laws and policies on digital transformation; the digital data ecosystem in state management; and indicators for evaluating digital transformation within ministries and state agencies. The course is conducted in a hybrid format (one session), with instructors being leaders specializing in digital transformation from the Ministry of Science and Technology , the Ministry of Industry and Trade, or experienced and reputable experts.

In addition, intensive training courses on the application of artificial intelligence (AI) and digital technology are also being implemented. The program aims to equip participants with basic and advanced skills in using AI and digital tools to support public service. Furthermore, civil servants and employees are encouraged to participate in online training through self-study on the Ministry of Public Security's "Digital Literacy Platform," in order to proactively improve their capabilities and self-assess their digital skills according to their respective job titles.
