The Ministry of Industry and Trade organized the 2025 Press and Propaganda Award Ceremony on Energy Saving and Efficiency Use

Attending the ceremony, on behalf of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, there were Mr. Nguyen Hoang Long, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade; Mr. Dang Hai Dung, Deputy Director of the Department of Innovation, Green Transformation and Industrial Promotion, and representatives of departments, offices and functional units under the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

On behalf of the Vietnam Journalists Association , there were Mr. Tran Trong Dung, Vice President of the Vietnam Journalists Association; Mr. Phan Toan Thang, Chief of Office of the Vietnam Journalists Association; representatives of several departments of the Vietnam Journalists Association; Mr. Lam Quang Hieu, Editor-in-Chief of the Online Knowledge Magazine (Znews). The ceremony was also attended by representatives of the Jury, authors, representatives of the winning author group and many reporters from many press agencies in Vietnam.

The entries are carefully invested and creative.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hoang Long emphasized that in 2025, the Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Economical and Efficient Use of Energy was issued by the National Assembly. The Law supplements many regulations to promote the application of digital technology, renewable energy, circular economic models and green transformation in energy consumption, implementing energy transition, and implementing the commitment to net zero emissions by 2050.

Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hoang Long delivered the opening speech at the ceremony.

In particular, using energy economically and efficiently is considered a key solution with low cost but highest efficiency to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, improve competitiveness and ensure national energy security, towards sustainable development.

"In this process, the press plays a particularly important role, as a bridge between policy and life, a source of inspiration and motivation for communication to help the community understand, agree and act with the Government, the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the electricity industry for a greener, more sustainable future for future generations. The award not only recognizes the creative work of the press team but also demonstrates the cooperation of the media with state management in the field of energy and environment. In 2025, the award continues to receive strong attention and inspiration from press agencies across the country," said Deputy Minister Nguyen Hoang Long.

According to Deputy Minister Nguyen Hoang Long, the entries demonstrated the meticulous investment, creativity and dedication of journalists, contributing to spreading the message of energy saving in vivid, familiar and easy-to-understand language.

Awarding prizes to 40 outstanding works

Also speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Tran Trong Dung, Vice President of the Vietnam Journalists Association, emphasized that the Award is of great significance in recognizing, honoring and spreading the great contributions of journalists in promoting the National Program on efficient and economical use of energy.

This also demonstrates the concern, responsibility and dedication of press agencies and editorial offices across the country towards the major policy of the Party and State on energy saving.

Mr. Tran Trong Dung assessed that the works that entered the preliminary and final rounds all truly, creatively and profoundly reflected the achievements in using energy efficiently and economically. Many articles in the mass media vividly depicted typical models, good practices, and practical initiatives from the community scale to businesses, industrial zones, green buildings, and green cities to save energy and reduce emissions. After a process of objective and serious work, the jury selected 40 best works to award prizes.

"These awards are not only a worthy recognition of the efforts of journalists but also a strong source of encouragement for us to continue spreading the spirit of energy saving, a sustainable value for the future development of the country," the Vice President of the Vietnam Journalists Association affirmed.

The winning authors took souvenir photos with members of the Organizing Committee.

At the ceremony, the Organizing Committee awarded the Press and Propaganda Award on Energy Saving and Efficiency to 40 outstanding works. In which, the Print Newspaper category has: 1 A Prize, 2 B Prizes, 2 C Prizes and 3 Encouragement Prizes; the Electronic Newspaper category has: 1 Special Prize, 1 A Prize, 2 B Prizes, 4 C Prizes and 5 Encouragement Prizes; the Radio category has: 1 A Prize, 2 B Prizes, 2 C Prizes, 02 Encouragement Prizes; the Television category has: 1 A Prize, 2 B Prizes, 2 C Prizes, 3 Encouragement Prizes; the Video Clip category has: 2 B Prizes, 2 Encouragement Prizes.
