
1. Week of introducing and promoting special export products of Vietnam - China
Changsha is the economic, political and technological center of Hunan province, and is also an important traffic hub connecting North - Central - South of China through a developed high-speed rail, road and aviation system. With strong logistics capacity and an increasingly prominent role in domestic trade as well as international connections, Changsha is becoming a potential gateway for Vietnamese goods to access the Chinese market more deeply.

In that context, the Ministry of Industry and Trade coordinated with the Hunan International Trade Promotion Committee, China to organize the "Week of introducing and promoting special export products of Vietnam - China" in Truong Sa city to strengthen trade connections and promote Vietnamese products in the Chinese market.
At the event, many typical products with export strengths of Vietnam from large and prestigious enterprises were introduced such as coffee, bird's nest, Ngoc Linh ginseng, fruit juice, shrimp crackers, etc. Products with Vietnamese brands received positive reviews from Chinese and international consumers visiting the exhibition area thanks to their high quality, modern designs and unique flavors. Many visitors directly experienced and tried the products and expressed good impressions of Vietnamese goods.

Within the framework of the activities, representatives of businesses of the two countries actively connected, exchanged directly, introduced products and sought cooperation opportunities. It can be seen that Vietnamese products are not only highly appreciated by consumers but also attract great attention from Chinese importers, thereby opening up opportunities for high-quality Vietnamese products to penetrate more deeply into the Chinese domestic market.

The event was successfully held from November 18 to 22, 2025, attracting the attention of Chinese and international businesses in general. Through this program, the business community in Truong Sa in particular and China in general have better understood the production capacity and quality of Vietnamese goods, while opening up specific, practical and effective cooperation opportunities for businesses on both sides.
2. China (Hunan) – ASEAN Economic and Trade Cooperation Connection Conference
Within the framework of the working program in China, the Ministry of Industry and Trade attended the Hunan 2025 Global Cooperation Partnership Conference on Trade and Investment Promotion and the China (Hunan) - ASEAN Economic and Trade Cooperation Connection Conference organized by the Hunan International Trade Promotion Committee, China on November 20, 2025. The conference was attended by leaders of countries around the world, especially ASEAN countries.

Speaking at the conference, Ms. Duong Ai Van, Chairman of the International Trade Promotion Committee of Hunan Province, China, said that ASEAN has maintained its position as Hunan's largest trading partner for many consecutive years. In the first half of 2025, Hunan's import and export turnover with ASEAN reached 49.82 billion yuan (equivalent to 7 billion USD), an increase of 16.3% over the same period. Through this conference, Hunan hopes to work with ASEAN enterprises to build a foundation for substantive dialogue, expand cooperation in emerging areas such as digital economy and green and low-carbon industries, closely connect Hunan's industrial and innovative strengths with ASEAN's market and resource potential to jointly create momentum for sustainable development.

Speaking at the Conference, Mr. To Ngoc Son, Deputy Director of the Department of Foreign Market Development, Ministry of Industry and Trade, emphasized that Vietnam always affirms to be a sincere, trustworthy and responsible partner in all bilateral and multilateral cooperation frameworks in the region and the world. Vietnam wishes to strengthen comprehensive cooperation with China and other countries in the region; promote trade and investment promotion, promote transport infrastructure connectivity; expand forms of people-to-people exchange; develop tourism... for the prosperous development of the region and for the benefit of the business community and people of each country.
The conference is considered one of the meaningful events, not only creating new momentum to contribute to promoting economic, trade and investment cooperation between Vietnam and China but also continuing to affirm Vietnam's strategic role as a bridge in promoting trade flows and strengthening regional economic connectivity.
3. Other survey and connection activities
Within the framework of the program, the Ministry of Industry and Trade organized a business delegation to visit and survey leading enterprises, representatives of Truong Sa, Hunan province.
The delegation worked at Duong Thien Hoa Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company, one of the largest pharmaceutical retail systems in China. The system includes about 4,000 stores spread across 19 provinces in China, including more than 1,000 affiliated pharmacies, about 700 franchisees and over 2,000 cooperative stores.

At Lac Nhi Lac supermarket chain, the delegation learned about the large-scale consumer distribution system with more than 9,000 stores and annual chain supply turnover of about 7 billion USD. Lac Nhi Lac supermarket chain has the ability to distribute deeply to urban residential areas - towns, which is a potential consumption channel for Vietnamese goods.

The delegation also visited and surveyed Gaoqiao Market, one of the largest wholesale centers in Central China with more than 9,200 businesses, 1.7 million items and a transaction turnover of over 23.4 billion USD per year, as well as Luc Diep Fruit Company, a fruit retail and distribution system with more than 1,300 stores and a smart logistics center serving 2,500 points of sale. Luc Diep distributes more than 300 million tons of fruit to the domestic Chinese market each year, including products from Vietnam such as durian and jackfruit.
Through these survey activities, Vietnamese and Chinese enterprises have established effective initial connections, opening up many specific cooperation opportunities in the coming time.
Hunan is a province in central China, with an area of 211,800 km2, a population of about 65.4 million people, with a GDP scale of 729.2 billion USD in 2024, ranking 10th out of 31 provinces/cities of China. In 2024, according to statistics from the Customs in Hunan province, the total import-export turnover between Hunan and Vietnam reached 2.56 billion USD (accounting for 4.63% of Hunan's total import-export turnover with the world). Of which, Hunan's exports to Vietnam reached 1.98 billion USD, Hunan's imports from Vietnam reached 588.0 million USD. In 9M/2025, the import-export turnover between Vietnam and Hunan reached 2.38 billion USD, an increase of 34.1% over the same period in 2024, of which Hunan's exports to Vietnam reached 1.95 billion USD, Hunan's imports from Vietnam reached 431.93 million USD. By the end of September 2025, Vietnam is Hunan's 6th largest trading partner. |
