Faced with the complicated developments of storm No. 15 currently operating in the East Sea, the Dak Lak Provincial Border Guard Command has directed coastal units to strictly deploy disaster prevention and control plans and support fishermen in moving their vessels to safe shelters.
At the same time, continue to organize activities to help people overcome flood consequences and soon stabilize their lives.
Instructions for people to respond to storms
According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, at 4:00 a.m. on November 29, the center of storm No. 15 was about 310 km northwest of Song Tu Tay Island. The area near the center of the storm has strong winds of level 9-10 (75-102 km/h), gusting to level 13. In the next 24 hours, the storm will move slowly northward, at a speed of about 5 km/h and its intensity is unlikely to change, continuing to approach the Gia Lai - Dak Lak area.
At the same time, a tropical depression is active in the coastal area of East Malaysia. At 1:00 a.m. on November 29, the center of the tropical depression was at about 4.9 degrees North latitude; 105.0 degrees East longitude, in the sea area east of Malaysia. The strongest wind near the center of the tropical depression is level 6-7 (39-61 km/h), gusting to level 9. Moving northeast at a speed of about 15 km/h.

Faced with the above developments, coastal units including Xuan Hoa, Xuan Dai, An Hai, Tuy Hoa, Hoa Hiep Nam Border Guard Stations , Vung Ro Port Gate and Border Guard Squadron 2 have synchronously deployed response measures; notified and instructed fishing vessels operating at sea to proactively avoid the storm's direction of movement and maneuver to safe anchorages; coordinated with local authorities to propagate and mobilize fishermen to anchor their boats, arrange cages, reinforce houses and evacuate from areas at risk of flooding and high tides.
Forces were mobilized promptly to overcome the consequences of floods and storms, closely monitor the storm's developments; organize the evacuation of people and property from vulnerable areas, ensure absolute safety and ensure security and order in anchorage and shelter areas.
Strictly implementing the sea ban order of the Provincial People's Committee, the units have notified 215 vehicles with 1,092 workers at sea to grasp the direction of the storm's movement so that they can proactively take shelter in safe places; coordinated with local authorities and functional forces to guide the arrangement of boats, aquaculture cages and supported people to bring 33 fishing boats under 6m and rafts ashore, limiting damage before the storm makes landfall.
Currently, the Provincial Border Guard Command continues to closely monitor the developments of storm No. 15, coordinate with functional forces to deploy response measures, contributing to ensuring the safety of life and property of people and fishermen in the area.
Support people to overcome flood consequences
Along with that, on November 29, An Hai Border Guard Station, Dak Lak Provincial Border Guard Command continued to deploy many practical activities to support people after floods in Tuy An Dong and O Loan communes, Dak Lak province.

In O Loan commune, officers and soldiers of An Hai Border Guard Station coordinated with the Provincial Border Guard Medical Corps to organize medical examinations, health consultations and free medicine distribution for more than 150 people in O Loan commune. Doctors and nurses examined, consulted and distributed medicine to treat common post-flood diseases such as skin diseases, flu, respiratory and digestive problems. People were also instructed to maintain hygiene and take care of their health to prevent epidemics after natural disasters.

On the same day, in Tuy An Dong commune, officers and soldiers of the unit coordinated with Thanh Hoa Motorcycle Technical Association to organize a free motorcycle repair program for 1,000 local people. These were vehicles that were flooded and damaged after the flood, causing great difficulties in traveling and daily life. The technical team directly inspected, cleaned, changed oil and fixed common damages, implementing quickly and effectively.
These activities not only help people overcome the material and health consequences of natural disasters, but also demonstrate the sense of responsibility, closeness and companionship of An Hai Border Guard Station and volunteer organizations.
