Guangxi Border Guard (China) visits and holds talks with Quang Ninh Border Guard (Vietnam)

On December 16 and 17, a delegation of the Guangxi Border Guard Region (China) visited and held talks with the Quang Ninh Provincial Border Guard (Vietnam) on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army on December 22 (1944-2024).

Over the past time, the two sides have always thoroughly grasped and strictly implemented the agreements and treaties signed by the two governments , ensuring the 16-word motto: "Friendly neighbors, comprehensive cooperation, long-term stability, towards the future" and the spirit of 4 goods: "Good neighbors, good friends, good comrades, good partners".

The two sides have also actively coordinated with relevant agenciesto educate the public to strictly comply with the "Agreement and regulations on land border management between Vietnam and China"; actively cooperated in border management and protection; promptly informed each other and effectively handled unexpected incidents, crimes and law violations in border areas.

The Border Guard forces of both sides also coordinated well in border management, regularly exchanged information and effectively implemented the contents of the memorandum of understanding; improved the mechanism for meetings, talks, information exchange, handover and repatriation, and reception of illegal immigrants, reduced procedures for repatriation to shorten the detention time for illegal immigrants, drug-related crimes, human trafficking, arms trafficking, transnational crimes, and strengthened anti-terrorism, etc.

In the coming time, the two sides will promote cooperation, proactively exchange information, provide each other with clues about cases and launch high-point campaigns to attack and suppress crimes; strengthen coordination in the fight against all types of crimes, especially high-tech crimes and drug-related crimes, etc.

Actively maintain security and order in border areas, coordinate information exchange on disease prevention, natural disaster prevention, search and rescue to minimize damage to people on both sides of the border during the rainy and flood season. At the same time, continue to promote friendly exchanges between the armed forces and people of the two countries and sustainably develop the border economy, build a peaceful and friendly border area, and further enhance the Vietnam-China friendship.
