Border Guard innovates content and form of political education

The conference was held at the Border Guard Command Headquarters and 46 points throughout the force. Major General Nguyen Anh Tuan, Party Secretary and Political Commissar of the Border Guard chaired the conference.

Over 12 years of implementing Directive No. 124 and 10 years of implementing the Project, the Party Committee and the Border Guard Command have focused on leading and directing the effective implementation of the work of education and training; there have been many policies and solutions to innovate in content and form, closely following the characteristics, requirements and tasks of agencies and units, creating a change in the awareness of officers and soldiers.

Units in the entire force strictly implement the planning and guidance of political education work, regularly research, supplement and adjust the program content, suitable for each subject and the situation and tasks of the agencies and units; link the content of political education with the annual training theme of the Border Guard. In addition, focus on innovating the form of political learning, closely combining knowledge transfer with practical experience exchange, between education and self-education; actively apply information technology to compile lesson plans and political lectures, effectively exploit the utilities of social networks to carry out political education work.

Some units, through activities such as: Visiting historical and cultural sites, marching to the source, exchanging, forming friendships, inviting historical witnesses to give talks on topics... aim to diversify the forms and methods of Civic Education. Some units have been creative, established a Civic Education Advisory Group and implemented the model "One question, one answer per week"...

The number of soldiers participating in political training of the Border Guard annually reaches more than 98.5%; the results are 100% meeting the requirements, from 75-78% or more achieving good and excellent results.

Recognizing the importance of training and fostering political teaching staff, the Command has organized 3 training courses with nearly 1,000 staff participating; directed and guided agencies and units to organize 325 training courses with nearly 25,900 staff participating. Along with that, well organized 4 competitions for political teaching staff, 3 competitions for reporters and propagandists at the Command level and participated in competitions at the army and national levels, achieving many high prizes; 240 competitions for political teaching staff, 385 competitions for reporters and propagandists at the provincial and municipal Border Guard levels... The team of political teaching staff has closely followed the tasks andeducational objects; enhanced the proactiveness, creativity, encouraged and motivated the self-study of officers and soldiers.

After 12 years of implementing Directive No. 124 and 10 years of implementing the Project, the quality of civic education has improved year after year, contributing to meeting the requirements and tasks of building a comprehensively strong Border Guard that is "exemplary and typical", and excellently completing all assigned tasks.

On this occasion, 32 collectives and 32 individuals received certificates of merit from the Political Commissar of the Border Guard for their outstanding achievements in implementing Directive No. 124 and the Project.
