Previously, on the evening of November 26, a large fire broke out in a sugarcane plantation in Ea Mar hamlet, Buon Don border commune, causing damage to an estimated 24 hectares of sugarcane belonging to 4 households.

Due to the dry and windy weather, the fire spread rapidly and got out of control.
Immediately after receiving the news, the local authorities urgently mobilized the Border Guard Stations: Se Re Pok, Bo Heng, Yok Don and the Training - Mobile Battalion; fire prevention and fighting forces, commune police, militia and a large number of local people to participate in extinguishing the fire.
The forces coordinated to deploy many emergency firefighting measures such as: creating firebreaks to contain the area, using water pumps and manual means on site.
By 8:45 p.m. the same day, after nearly 3 hours of firefighting efforts, the fire was basically completely under control. Fortunately, the fire did not cause any human casualties.
Currently, the authorities are continuing to investigate and verify, and at the same time taking measures to protect the scene, count the damage to handle the case according to the provisions of law.
