The central report at the conference, presented via video, affirmed that during the implementation of urgent measures to help localities overcome the consequences of floods and the "Quang Trung Campaign," the Party Committee, the Command, and the Party committees and commanders at all levels within the Border Guard Force seriously and promptly institutionalized the directives and encouragement of the Minister of National Defense .

Border Guard officers and soldiers carry out their duties with a high sense of responsibility and political determination, always persistently staying close to the people; they understand that completing each house means one more family has a safe place to live during the rainy and stormy season, another solid support for the people to feel secure and committed to the border region, spreading love and sowing trust among the people in border areas.

In disaster prevention and control efforts, and in addressing the consequences of floods and heavy rains, coastal units from Quang Ninh to Lam Dong coordinated with local authorities and functional forces to inform and guide 233,018 vehicles/1,052,604 people to move around and evacuate from dangerous areas.

Border Guard units in provinces and cities from Da Nang to Lam Dong, along with Border Guard Squadron 48 and Border Guard Training School 24, deployed 17,712 officers and soldiers/1,988 vehicles to participate in responding to and mitigating the consequences of natural disasters, assisting in the relocation of 5,800 households/18,682 people to safe areas, participating in repairing and cleaning 60 schools, 8 medical facilities, and 921 houses immediately after the floods; coordinating with local authorities and functional forces to organize support, receive, and transport over 1,250 tons of goods and necessities and over 85,000 gift packages to households isolated and damaged by the floods.

The Border Guard Command organized visits and presented 288 gifts worth 684 million VND to Border Guard units and people in border areas; promptly supplied 4 tons of logistical materials to the units; and mobilized support from the people and localities totaling over 30 billion VND.

In particular, the Ga Ry Border Guard Station (Da Nang City Border Guard Command) has taken in and adopted two young children from the area as its foster children after their parents and home were buried by a landslide.

During the "Quang Trung Campaign," with the spirit of "Rain never stops, work never ceases," from December 7, 2025 to January 8, 2026, Border Guard units from Da Nang to Lam Dong simultaneously deployed and established 25 teams of construction and carpentry workers/239 officers and soldiers/5,382 man-days to participate in the construction and repair of 35 houses.

At the conference, through discussions and presentations, delegates focused on analyzing and highlighting experiences and achievements, as well as difficulties and obstacles, and proposed many solutions to further enhance the capacity for preventing, mitigating, and overcoming the consequences of natural disasters and floods.

In his concluding remarks, Lieutenant General Vu Trung Kien, Commander of the Border Guard, acknowledged, commended, and congratulated the outstanding achievements of officers and soldiers throughout the force during the past year.

Emphasizing the increasingly extreme weather conditions, and therefore the heavy workload for 2026 and beyond, the Commander of the Border Guard Command requested that several tasks be carried out effectively: Agencies and units should continue to self-assess and evaluate the process of task implementation to draw lessons learned; coordinate more closely with specialized forces and agencies to accurately assess and forecast weather and climate developments for more effective response; and closely follow the leadership and direction of higher-level agencies.

In addition, it is necessary to effectively implement three factors: taking the initiative, being perceptive, flexible, and creative in the task of prevention; being determined and mobilizing combined strength in the task of combating; and promptly and quickly restoring stability to life and border traffic activities; regularly summarizing and drawing lessons to adapt to all types of weather; and promptly motivating, encouraging, and rewarding collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in the performance of their duties.

On this occasion, the Border Guard Command recommended 10 collectives and 9 individuals for commendation by the Government and the Ministry of National Defense. The Border Guard Command also awarded certificates of merit to 12 collectives and 48 individuals for outstanding achievements in performing their duties.
