Colonel Doan Duy Phuoc, Deputy Commander and Chief of Staff of the Ho Chi Minh City Border Guard Command, attended and directed the event.
The training took place from January 12th to January 20th. Trainees were guided and trained by instructors from the Border Guard Academy in basic to advanced unarmed combat martial arts techniques; practiced and refined the stances of three border guard physical training exercises; and learned nunchaku techniques and sparring moves.

In his opening remarks, Colonel Doan Duy Phuoc, Deputy Commander and Chief of Staff of the Ho Chi Minh City Border Guard Command, emphasized that the training aims to improve the level of border guard martial arts and combat techniques for core officers, serving as a basis for deploying martial arts training for the City Border Guard Command and its subordinate units, meeting the requirements and tasks of border management and protection, combat readiness training in general, and physical and martial arts training in particular.
Colonel Doan Duy Phuoc requested that the training course organizers seriously implement the program and plan with quality and effectiveness; prepare all necessary materials and lesson plans, and combine theory with practice well; and conduct an objective and rigorous assessment of results at the end of the training course.
