On December 1, in Hoa Thinh commune, Dak Lak province, the Military Region 5 Command organized a launching ceremony to support the construction of houses for households that had collapsed or completely collapsed after the flood. This is an activity with profound humanitarian meaning, demonstrating the spirit of "For the People" of Uncle Ho's soldiers, helping people in flooded areas to soon stabilize their lives after natural disasters.
Attending the launching ceremony were Major General Tran Thanh Hai, member of the Party Committee Standing Committee, Deputy Commander of Military Region 5; representatives of the Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee; heads of agencies and units assigned to the construction task, along with a large number of officers and soldiers of the provincial armed forces and local people.

Implementing the Prime Minister 's direction on the rapid implementation of the " Quang Trung Campaign " to rebuild houses for people damaged by floods, on December 1, in Tuy An Bac commune, the People's Committee of Dak Lak province held a groundbreaking ceremony to build 684 houses for households whose houses were damaged or collapsed and needed to be rebuilt.
Of which, the Army participated in building 263 houses for affected households, including agencies and units under Military Region 5 in charge of 100 houses, the Dak Lak Provincial Military Command in charge of building 10 houses, and units of the Ministry of National Defense in charge of deploying the remaining 153 houses. The implementation budget is expected to be mobilized from the central budget, local budget, enterprises and other legal sources, each house is at least 170 million VND.

To carry out the mission, Military Region 5 organized 155 construction teams, each team had 15-17 officers and soldiers, including 3-4 highly skilled construction workers, with 100 teams in Dak Lak province alone.

The People's Committee of Dak Lak province directed departments and branches to guide the supply of construction materials; at the same time, coordinate in selecting house models suitable to customs and conditions for storm and flood prevention, aiming to complete before the Lunar New Year 2026. This is both an urgent requirement and a great expectation of the people after days of loss.

At the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee Dao My highly appreciated the prompt participation of the armed forces of Military Region 5 , the Provincial Military Command and military units in the rescue work, helping people overcome the consequences of floods; at the same time, affirmed that this housing construction program not only has material significance but also shares and helps people in the flood areas. The province aims to ensure that all households who have lost their homes have stable and safe housing, and can celebrate Tet in a new house.

In his speech directing the mission, Major General Tran Thanh Hai requested the units to organize their forces closely, carry out construction scientifically, on schedule, according to technical standards, and ensure safety in all stages. The Deputy Commander of the Military Region emphasized: Building new houses for people is not only about building physical works but also about rebuilding trust and rebuilding the foundation for people to rise up after natural disasters. Local authorities need to coordinate to ensure the site and monitor the progress; households need to actively coordinate and preserve the house when completed to become a solid support for the family.











The launching ceremony marks the beginning of a great task, full of difficulties but full of meaning. With the determination of the armed forces of Military Region 5, the synchronous coordination of the province and other forces, new roofs will soon be built on the land still full of traces of fierce floods. At that time, the new homes will not only provide shelter from the rain and sun but also be clear evidence of the strong military-civilian relationship, of the noble qualities of "Uncle Ho's soldiers" shining in hardship.
